Amazing Spider-Man #277 (Vol.1):
A Wendigo unlike no other, a spirit that didn't need a human host but a spirit connected to a blizzard. The Wendigo follows a Canadian family who traveled to New York as the father was a Canadian politician. Spider-Man first has a dream of the Wendigo's coming and the spirit eventually deals with one of the girls captures. This Wendigo is so powerful as it was shown leaving it was taller than the World Trade Centres.

Larry uses a mystical object that allows him to steal the Wendigo power from the current host of the spirit and give it to him. On the plus side Larry keeps his intelligence and takes it to the duo on his own. He even nearly had Hulk, until Captain Marvel saved him.

Wolverine #172 :
A huge battle. Mauvais is mad crazy and wants to get revenge against the Gods of the Artic since they have ruined his plans multiple times. So he creates a barrier blocking the gods from this world using the bodies he killed from a TV show . The North Gods are the same people as Snowbird, so cutting them off from her will weaken here. So when she transforms into Wendigo she would had done much better if the connection to her people wasn't cut off, since it weakens here. Alpha Flight is not portrayed as the best to their abilities, but you take what you can get. Interesting to note is after this battle; Aurora is sent to the hospital and taken by Weapon X.

Not really a fight, but with the Penance Stare on Wendigo they find out he is Michael Fleet and not all bad as he is completely calm. Not once did he even say Wendigo in either issues, so I assume Michael still had somewhat control.

Hulk notices nothing he does phases them and as Wolverine says their the "next best thing to invulnerable"

In this reality Wolverine gained the Wendigo, and has a brief fight with the Avengers before joining with them. The three's combined might was not enough to even knock Wendigo down. Wolverine has complete control over Wendigo and can transform or detransform at will.

yea wendigo is a badass no doubt. He should be able to beat or stalemate the strongest ever if written correctly cause the spirit of the wendigo can gain power as well
