Hmm, that sounds pretty cool. How much? Could you find a standard car instead? My only thought on this, otherwise, go Roland, f*ck yeah!

I'd take it, how much?

I can't drive standard. sad

$5,900 but I can get $200 taken off by taking an ad in and I think I could talk the salesperson dwon to $5,500 anyway.

$5,900, but I could probably get it down to $5,500.

Ahh, you should learn, it's easy, and standards just last longer and are built tougher imo.

Hmm, $5,900 seems kinda like alot, these Chevy's are prone ot have tube problems as well as transmission failings. You could get lucky and get one that's good to go all the time, but I wouldn't pay more than $4,000 for it. Still, with the ad you bring in, and talking it down, $5,100-$5,500 around there is alright.

Just be careful, ask about it's previous owner if it isn't new, and try to get a good look at it under the hood if you know anything about cars.
If you believe this, this is one of the cheapest cars I've found that I could afford with my budget.

I know jack shit about cars other than to change the oil and minor stuff lol, thanks for the info though Scythe.

Well if it fits your budget, and there's no other alternative, then go for it dude. They've been known to have transmission troubles, but I know a good deal that don't. It's nice, black, sun roof, and a guy your age would love the cd player. Try talking the price lower, and if you can't anymore, then go ahead and go for it, ya know? You'll hopefully be insured, and work hard to get a better, newer car soon, so there's nothing to worry about.
I should have a newer car within 3 years, I make a little under $600 a month on a part time job so I can easily afford it, I just don't want to be putting a high payment on a car that I am not going to have for more than 5 years. Even if I can't talk the person lower, I could get at least $200 taken off with the ad.

The main reason why I want it is because it will help cut down on gas money a lot. Thanks for the info though Scythe.

I'm not looking for a beater though. I work part time because I go to school pretty much all year round except summer and this Cavalier is something I could easily afford working 20 hours a week.

just make sure you dont sink all your cash on what is basically a hope and a prayer. if you put yourself in a situation where you're basically ****ed if it conks out, you're better off taking that money to las vegas.

have you considered a certifoed preowned? at least you have some sort of warranty then for a certain amount of time/milage.
No buttsex for you tonight! disgust

Well I haven't really sat down and talked to the dealership about this car anyway. So I am not putting all my chips in the middle of the table yet.

I didn't even think about that, thanks for the idea. Only problem is, that I have jackshit in the way of a co-signer because of certain family problems and I don't know if I can get approved with the little credit I have.

For someone who's 5'3", there's tons of room in the back. Or I can just put the front seat down.

I'm just afraid I'll not be able to get financing for a new car.

turned out i didnt and was eligable for the lowest a.p.r.

just go to a dealership and have them run a credit check. you'll find out within a few minutes if you can or cant.
Yeah, you never know.

If I may ask, what car did you get and what were you paying on it monthly?

all compact cars are a death trap if you get in a bad enough wreck. physics, you know? look at the bright side, you wont need a coffin. they'll just bury you inside it.

Because my job is only 4 hours I day I make a nice amount per hour to compensate for minimum wage so I make around $590 a month with taxes. I could easily afford a $250 a month vehicle, but I really don't want to be paying that much per month.

Schecter
well just make sure you have alternative commuting options, then.

well here's some research material anyway:
