yeah same here.I hate the new Bond films, wish they had stopped after Moore retired.the only difference I have than you is like the old ones much better than the new ones especially with Pierce Brosnan.they will probably keep making them though as long as this planet is here though unfortunately. mad

Pierce Brosnan's Goldeneye was good. Die Another Day was average but the middle two sucked due to a horrible script. "Saved by the bell" sick Casino Royale is the best Bond movie of all time IMO. He's the closest to Fleming's literary character. Connery's first five were all great. Moore had 2 really good ones in FYEO and TSWLM. Overall he ended up too old. Haven't seen Dalton's LTK or Lazenby's OHMSS.

Jovan
how can you say die another day was average? It was the lousiest one of all, even more than any moore movie!

agreed that Goldeneye was good.Thats the one Brosnan Bond movie I CAN sit through.I would add on LALD and TMWTGG on to that list as well of really good Bond films of Moores.Trust me,you dont want to see Lazenby's OHMSS.That movie is so horrible that even Connery couldnt have saved that film and made it enjoyable. You mentioned you were dissapointed with Diamonds Are Forever-which is understandable, but OHMSS is far worse than that movie.I bet thats the REAL reason Connery didn't do that film was he realised how horrible a movie it was after reading through the final draft of the screenplay. sick

Some people hold it at the top. Other put it at the bottom. I haven't seen it yet but from what I know I want to see it. Lazenby seems to be able to actually fight. roll eyes (sarcastic)

I finished re watching the connery/moore bond films recently and they are 100 times better than the new Bond movies. The old connery/moore bond movies had a magic to them the new ones just dont have.Like in You Only Live Twice they have that scene with Connery flying that miniture helicopter Little Nellie and their playing the james bond theme song the whole time he is trying to get away from those other helicopters trying to kill him. Then there is the spy who loved me.I loved it at the beginng where it shows him off skiing, listen to the music at that point, its so cool.

Then there is For Your Eyes Only.a lot of great car chases in that movie and the music during that time is what REALLY makes it fun to watch. Then at the end of the film when they put him in touch with the prime minister of england,Moore leaves the watch on the boat with a parrot so he can go for a swin with his girl. They are trying to reach him and the parrot repeats their voice saying-Bond Bond. They thing it IS Bond and they start talking to him.The parrot says to Margarate Thatcher on the phone-Give me a kiss, give me a kiss.then the parrot starts laughing and Bonds people start yelling in the phone-Bond come in Bond!! getting real mad at him.classic. rolling on floor laughing laughing laughing The new Bond films just dont have that kind of magic and clever screenwriting that the old connery/moore bond films had.

Casino Royale is the best. The Brosnan films had a bad script.

Mr Parker
I dont like the new Bond films at all.Their way too violent.I cant stand Brosnan as Bond and the last Brosnan Bond film was real violent at the beginning,Craig while a much better actor than Brosnan made Casino Royale more enjoyable for me with a better script, still makes me want to stay away from the next Bond film cause it ALSO was way too violent. The other Bond films didnt have this kind of violence in them. You could take the whole family to see them. These new ones, especially the last two,I wouldnt let my kids watch if I had children.

The movie, if looks could kill, which spoofed the Bond movie's, starring Richard Grieco was a better Bond movie than, Die Another Day. Die Another Day is one of the worst pieces of trash in it's genre.

I'm not a Bond fanatic. In fact there are not many older Bond movie's that i can appreciate. The only one's that i can remember liking very much are From Russia with love, For your eyes only and The man with the Golden Gun. Personally, i think Goldeneye and Casino Royale are the best Bond movie's. Tomorrow Never Dies was alot of fun, but i acknowledge that it has some poor and Cheesy moments. I like the more realistic direction they have Chosen to go down with Craig's Bond. I also like the idea of Bond being able to get dirty and ruthless as well as being a bit sloppy while still retaining that charm and slickness.
