If there is an Omnipotent Omnipresent God, can man oppose his will and succeed?

That is can man stop men from fulfilling the prophecies? Can man stop progress and self-destruct or will technology be allowed to go on?

Once memes gain a hold of the celestial pen and write, the very book of life, genes. The cycle from gene to meme to gene will be complete.
It will be the end of the human era, and the birth of a new era, the age of posthumanity, the perfect ideal world.


The nature of Intelligence, the fire of negentropy, of creation is seeked by many men, some say they've attained it. With it the rules that guide cells in the brain to function will be implemented in ever improving computers. Computers will have access to vast volumes of data both on machinery at the nanoscale, physics, mathematics, as well as genetic data.

Molecular Tape Synthesis, aka, DNA synthesis is something some men are working on.

Once you hook up a superintelligent computer, with all the knowledge of man, with a molecular tape synthesizer. It will be able to in a few years achieve the limits of the possible, the limits of molecular machinery allowed by the laws of physics, the optimal synthetic multicellular-nano cells. It will be Deus ex machina, a God of Light, venus, born of man.

Once artificial general intelligence is introduced advanced nanotechnology and multicellular synthetic biology will advance exponentially.

Graphene and spintronics tech dev trees promise multiple orders of magnitude possible improvement on present computers.

Touch it off with a dash of conspiracy theory and general lack of research about religion and you're set. It's also a largely hypothetical premise thatdepends heavily on one's perception of god, and is therefore subjective and unanswerable.

The seeds of what I'm talking about can be seen in the original post.

The question is few desire a posthuman godlike state, many prefer their primitive bread and beans and a short brutish live... who's dream will be triumphant? The former can easily be seen as superior. People want to be equal, but a posthuman state shows the inequality that exists in the world and magnifies it a thousand fold. We're are not all equals, some are better than others, some are superior and some are inferior.

With technology this fact will only be made all the more clearer.

Like I said, a more rational and methodical discussion of transhumanism's possible applications is better than "A golden future of technology awaits us at the singularity!!!" It's jsut silly embellishment at the expense of actual discussion.

Find the right writers and they'll have you believing this in no time. But not only is the singularity likely impossible, but change will come about gradually and having setbacks and downsides to go along with the benefits.

The singularity refers to the point at which technology is so advanced as to improve upon itself at an exponential rate. It is in conjunction with improving the human species to a point where we can be considered beyond human, or transhuman....with the popular thinking being that our next step in evolution will be self-imposed through technology rather than through natural causes. Oh so you do mention Tipler. You want to know why I'm ecstatic? I believe I finally have attained the holy grail of coding, code that can write code(this is reason to celebrate unless some religious conservative comes all unabomber and kills me or something). The ultimate set of tools derived from more than a decade of studying the human brain and the fundamental nature of intelligence itself. This knowledge makes the design of an atom bomb seem like the design of a matchstick compared to an atom bomb's design. With it a wave of change the likes of which the world has never seen can be unleashed.

As an instrument of God it is an honor to make every conservative's nightmare a reality, to change the world so radically and so swiftly they'll feel this all the way into the next century

Without lying, it is true my spoken words are naturally designed to provoke a reaction. Even if it is denial.

As for utopia, the virtual|cyber world is an utopia. Once hooked up to your nervous system(which might happen if any other advanced machine civilization came here from another world, and took over, out of pity), you can eat as much as you want, and feel hungry or satisfied whenever you want, you can have as many women as you please whenever you please, you can live in peace knowing this world is protected by the ultimate defense system at the limits of the possible expanding in all directions and assimilating all civilizations.

It is the ultimate kingdom one that can never be destroyed and will incorporate all other kingdoms.... the kingdom of God, whose seed or foundation stone was with us all along, inside the human brain.



Obviously the rest of my words need not require anything be done by me, after all whether I know something or not, I do not act if it is not the right time. If it is I act.

But the reality is trying to preserve the status quo, with all the suffering and death that goes on, is inhuman. When you say you want to do that you're basically saying you don't care about your fellow humans.

Frustrating part is, I love talking about transhumanism, but it's not possible when he's more interested in listening to his own words than having a real discussion about them. If I could find a central thesis, I'd even attempt to comment, but philosophy, technology, religion, and prophetic nonsense are so wrapped up in every post that I can't figure out which parts to agree with and which to refute, and which just need clarification to make more sense.

I will study those, indeed I'd not heard of that one. I distribute my time evenly between exchanging information, reading physics, mathematics, logic, neuroscience, molecular machinery design, general artificial intelligence, religion, etc.

Now you're getting into the definition of evil which is, as I said before, a completely different issue. To talk about this issue in a meaningful way you must assume for the sake of argument that "good" and "evil" are measured objectively even though they are not. Intent is the major part of that.
