What would a Lantern ring do for Thanos

Why would you make a thread where none of the contestants can use any powers except a lantern ring, and put Hal Jordan as one of the combatants?

Furthermore, you have them train with him for two months in which time he could completely sabotage their training (although that's not in his character).

If there were no Hal, it would be Doom standing in victory.

He or Thanos could just recreate their tech using the rings, couldn't they?
