Protege vs. Molecule Man (classic)

How this goes?

Protege.

Well you wanna be technical MM should be able to one hit him before Protege can copy him.

You're absolutely right. Scathan did.

Give Protege prep!

MM curbstomps

MM zaps Protege with a patented Scathan cosmic muzzle.

At the same time, Protege zaps MM inside an Aaron-style bubble of nothingness with no air to breath or any other molecules to manipulate.

The fight ends with MM passed out inside his bubble and Protege standing helpless next to him looking like a complete tool in his energy muzzle.

That could work, but MM doesn't need to do that,
MM simply destroys Protege.

That stipulated incident involved Post-Retcon limited Owen Reece,
wasn't even Post-Retcon MM, who's far above his limited persona. (Owen)

That move would never work on Classic Owen/MM.

That move would never work on Post-retcon MM either.

That would be the end result regardless of what tactic classic Owen/MM uses.

Well I wasn't being all that serious with that post anyway.

Was never really sure about Molecule Man's powers - I mean he couldn't affect organic molecules for a while, so how can his power affect things that aren't molecules, like energy or atomic & sub-atomic particles?

You seem to be somewhat of a Molecule Man expert, so where can I see what MM was last up to and what level he is at now? I've lost track since that Aron incident.

That Aron incident took place in FF#372-373.

Owen was not only jobbing,
but literally telling Aron about his weakness,
which was in affect at that time (only in-organic molecules)

The writer did this
in order to use that as a stipulation behind his defeat at the hands of Aron.

The next story Owen appeared in, FF Annual #27,
Owen can affect organic & in-organic molecules now,
this makes him according to the LT himself,
"one of the most powerful beings in all creation" (the Omniverse)
Now able to control time/space/energy/matter.

What's incredible is, that's only the limited side of Owen Reece,
he has an unlimited persona that calls himself the "true Molecule Man"
this beast while battling Post-retcon Beyonder,
warped reality withIN realities across the Omniverse.
And nearly took out the prime Multiverse by killing Beyonder,
Beyonder, who is nowadays essential to reality according to that story.

If I had to make a current active (no pre-retcons and/or deceased cats) list:

The LT (& Scathan, but in a future setting only) 31st century to be exact.
The Alien Entity
The BeyonderS
Edifice Rex
Vangaard & Molecule Man (he may be above or below, or like I have it here, equal)

Thanks. I'll have to track down that FF annual.

Classic MM should win without too many problems.

Owen wins this.
