Cover songs are for the ones who aint talented enough to make own songs to fill an album.
You can use others songs to learn how to play but never to record them

that aint even cover versions, he uses already well known musical pieces and add his own stuff to it.
Just like if I painted a moustache on Mona Lisa and called it a brand new piece of art

But if you absoulute have to do a cover how about Deep Purple`s Stormbringer

You could do a cover of a Bjork song and dedicate it to Tex, or a sting song and dedicate it to Gundy.

Take a mediocre pop song and make it pure genius with some actual musical talent.
