The one I went to last night was 16 screens, and I think they had all of them open for TDK as I was in the 16th room.

They had 4 theatres open for last nights showing at my theatre, and it was all sold out even for the 3:00 one

My cinema was 13 screens. All showing the Dark Knight. All sold out. I live in a college town though and it was crazy bananas. There were guys dressed like the Joker and Batman fake fighting in the hallway and general mayhem and excitement. I loved the atmosphere

I'm in a small town outside of Sacramento. It's on 6 out of 12 screens and all 5 midnight shows were sold out here too.

Can't wait to see it! I won't get to until the first show tomorrow at 10:00 but I'll be watching Begins tonight and then waking up to go get in line.

$18.5 million debut. I think that The Dark Knight can certainly and could very well break Spidey 3's friday to sunday record. I'm going back tonight and then again tomorrow for the 12 noon showing.

My little town has less than 32,000 people and only one cinema. There were two separate screens for The Dark Knight and every one is sold out until tomorrow.

I was lucky to get tickets for me and my wife tonight.

Wonder what the Marvel fans are thinking....

I'm a Marvel fan...and I'm happy that TDK has taken over.

It steps up the game for both companies, hopefully now we'll be seeing higher caliber comic book adaptations.

Very true, and it also puts the ball in Marvel's court. If they pull something like another Fantastic Four:Rise of the Silver Surfer or Xmen III people will just step away. I can only see fanboys buying tickets. However, they pull another Iron Man. Then the future of comic book movies will be promising.

IA WD. I just wish as a DC fan we could crank out a decent Superman movie that is at least close to on par with this epic. Though I am happy to see Batman back on top of the comic book movie genre game.

I'm seeing $160 million by tomorrow for the three days and close to $180 million total. By next sunday The Dark Knight could be at or close to $250 million.
