I did...well sort of. I mean I wasn't a character or anything but I did wear some Batman shirts. I hope this is within forum rules but I am gonna post pics of what I wore if that is okay?

I wore this to the Friday showing with my friends:
http://i255.photobucket.com/albums/hh134/FlintStillHatesBandwidth/100_2013-1.jpg

And I wore this to the midnight show on Thurs/Fri:
http://i255.photobucket.com/albums/hh134/FlintStillHatesBandwidth/100_2095.jpg

There were a lot of people there dressed up in full costume though. I saw a guy dressed like Bats and one like the Joker and they staged a fake fight in the theater to entertain us while we stood in line in front of each of the doors to the auditoriums. I live in a college town so there was a lot of pandemonium and madness, lol.

Bat Dude
I wore a Batman logo shirt...

But other than that, no...

I totally had you envisioned as a cape and cowl type of guy LOL. Which logo did you wear? The 89 one like me? One guy had on a completely homemade Batsuit out of felt. It was...well I'll give him a B for effort, lol

It's a grey t-shirt with the classic black and yellow "oval" logo... So yeah, basically like yours...

O cool. Yea I need to check out Hot Topic again. I got both of my more old school Bats shirts there but I couldn't find any Dark Knight stuff but then again with all the Batmania maybe people got to them before me.

I get the feeling that all of this is reminiscent of the summer of 1989 in a way. The mania for a movie of Bats going against the Joker, lol

I think it is. In fact it may not die down for a while

SelinaAndBruce
Yea I know this sounds nerdy... but I am so excited to be apart of it this time since I was only 4 when Batman 1989 dropped, lol

Myth
I shaved half of my face, but it was premature, because I ended up having to go to a couple of meetings, so I had to shave the rest off before actually making it to the movie. I did sport the half facial hair thing for 24 hours though.

SelinaAndBruce
LMAO at the half shaved face, That's awesome!

SelinaAndBruce
Here is a neat shot from one of the four viewings I went to. I tried to wear something Batman each time. After this belt I had nothing left though:

http://i255.photobucket.com/albums/hh134/FlintStillHatesBandwidth/100_2129.jpg

The second one keeps coming up huge so I just made it a link

Menetnashté
I didn't dress up, however before the film I managed to convince my friend, while in walmart, to get the Dark Knight designed Pajamas, for like 5 year olds. It looked something like this:
http://us.st12.yimg.com/us.st.yimg.com/I/crazyforbargains_2012_78321523
However it didn't come with the long pants, so he had to settle for the shorts, an 18 year old in a pair of pajamas designed for a 5 year old with Batman on it is indeed a comical sight...

SelinaAndBruce
O my lmao!

I bought the Joker/Harley shirt and wore the shirt designed from the poster where the Joker is standing with the gun and it seems something's exploding in the background.

SelinaAndBruce
Where are people getting all these wicked Dark Knigh shirts? I definitely want one!

Kainreaver
Yep. Not gonna lie, I work at a movie theatre, and they let me dress up like the Joker for the weekend. Pic here

Nice, but you need to fix the hair. If you corn rowed it for a day with touches of yellow/green hair dye, then undid the rows, you would have had wavy, greasy hair with some green to it.

Then you my friend, just looked a little less geeky than some of us, lol

I'd have worn geeky attire if buying a tee shirt in America today didn't mean I had to buy a tee shirt that was 15 times too big for me so that the majority of the wendy's burger guzzling American public could wedge their fat asses into it. I find it an insult when I go to a website that sells tee shirts with a comic theme and the drop down menu only lists sizes in large, extra large and stomach surgury fat. You know, it isn't a requirement that you stuff your face with extra butter pop corn, reeces cups, nachos AND a medium DIET coke just because you're at the movies.

SelinaAndBruce
A lot of guys just wear their clothes really big too though. I mean I hate it because they don't make shirts like that for girls because they think girls don't read comic books. So you think you've got it bad, imagine little size 3 me running around in a grown man's XL Batman shirt lol

I wanted to dress up as the Joker....I know one geeky thing I did that wasn't under conscious control, I copied Heath's every mannerism. Whenever he licked his scars, I did, but I don't have any. It's weird but somehow I was able to copy his mannerisms even during my first showing. Maybe we're both crazy...or I'm a major geek? wink

I wear an extra small tee shirt, so I can feel it. I just wasn't willing to actually need a belt for a tee shirt.

I wore a distressed black velvet jacket though.

When the word "distressed" is used to describe an item of clothing, you know it's gay.

Well, I got regular white/brown striped pants and dyed them, the Gloves were mine, the shirt, suit (Under the coat), and tie I got a good will, A co-worker made the vest and jacket, and I made the scarrs. Oh, and I got the socks, and pocket chain on E-bay.

You can use photobucket.com or tinypic.com to upload the photos then post a link here or imbed the photo here using the * * tags without the astericks.

SelinaAndBruce
Hope this isn't too big. I found this comic book store in PA and I saw this sign and I made my friends pull over so I could take the picture. Not from me viewing the dark knight but I thought it was neat:

SelinaAndBruce

The first time I saw it at the theaters, I thought it was in my top 3 favorite films of all time. Of course, this was just hype and excitement after seeing it for the first time.

Upon repeated viewings, it's easy to pick out a lot of flaws in the story and for that reason, I see "The Dark Knight" as a very good film, but not the masterpiece some or claiming it to be.

I really enjoyed the movie, but to me, the main appeal is Ledger. He's just incredible. I try to picture the movie without him and when I do, I realize it wouldn't have been a good movie without him.

By the way, "Batman Begins" is superior in my opinion (and in my top 5) and I can watch that over and over again, but I can't do the same for "Dark Knight." Too many little things in "Knight" just drop the score for me...

Darth Martin

Wore this.

Batman Begins doesn't come close to touching The Dark Knight IMO.
