Interesting fight. Current Ghost Rider is a beast. I'll say Surfer until I see more of what Blaze can do with his upgrade.

What are the feats of current Ghost rider? I dont know but the ghost rider I know would loose.

Didnt the Surfer loose to WWH when he was under mind control. Honestly I think Surfer takes this. I need more than just a simple saying, its like when Spiderman said Sentry stalemated Galactus.

I may know more about Ghost Rider than I do Zarathos, but I don't believe Zarathos is stronger than Mephisto by any means. And Mephisto always had trouble with Surfer. Even when Surfer was in his realm. But I do think the Penance Stare would make Surfer's head explode. He is responsible for countless deaths and magnitudes of suffering. Anybody know the strongest foe that has succumbed to the Penance Stare?

im pretty sure zarathos was an equal to mephisto...and mephisto had trouble taking his soul not defeating him

That shouldn't be... Well... Mephisto is always trying to get his soul... so it kinda prevents him from outright killing him. But Surfer certainly holds his own in every fight they've had from what I've seen, even in Hell. And even in non-Surfer comics. In an issue of Thor, Eric Masterson once entered Hell with Dr. Strange's help because he thought Thor was trapped there. Silver Surfer battles Mephisto in his lair long enough for Masterson to wander around in his human form. It was a pretty neat fight.

yeah lucifer seems so out of place in this

Only reason he won that fight was because Blaze was keeping one of lucifers avatars hostage and draining its powers with some pipe thing.

false...mephisto had the upper hand on galactus and the only why galactus could win is by consuming hell, other wise there battle would have destroy galaxies

mephisto could kill surfer any time he wants...he just want his soul so he doesnt kill him

Yeah but, he didn't only do that. Even though it Galactus' doing that warped his morality etc, he still has the bloods and pain of billions on his hands from the planets he did lead Galactus to.

That being said, Ghost Rider has no way to touch Surfer if Surfer doesn't want him to, and can tear through him from 800 feet in the air with energy, stopping the only attack that could take Surfer out from happening...

Well, it was a cartoon, and we all know other forms of media other than the comics take liberties with power sets and canon.

And in said cartoon, Galactus was extremely weakened. Thor was also in the episode and was knocking the hell out of him.

Ghostriders a beast against foes designed for him and I definately think he'd own the tough bricks but I personally don't give him a single win against the more powerful goodie goodie type heroes like Surfer or Thor.

He's just 'The Devil', nowhere near as powerful as Morningstar, and from feats is less powerful than most heralds =/

Surfer imo. given that Surfer now accepts that Galactus is beyond good and evil, that Galactus is a more fundamental necessity than any of the planets/life he consumes, Surfer's conscience should be clear... or at least he should feel that he has not wronged, merely made difficult choices.

I think there was an issue where deathurge the avatar of oblivion faced off against ghostrider... And deathurge basically laughed in ghostriders face...
This was yearssss ago in a quasar issue so the recent showings are different...

I'd go with the SS for a solid majority too.

Penance stare is inconsistant. Does it just make the victim suffer all the pain she's caused regardless of the morality of her acitions? If there is a moral component to it, who defines what is wrong? Is it the victm's own sense of morality? Do they need to feel some sort of repressed guilt to be affected? Is it the host's or the angel of vengeance's morality? His empowering god's morality?

In his recent run there was a guy, some zadkiel worshipping fannatic, who shrugged of the penance stare claiming he did not regret any of his crimes as they were god's work - he was on some kind of angelic steroids when it happ ened, so that may be the actual cause of his immunity though
