the "Ultimate Shield" a the homunculi who craves money, women, and other worldly possessions and the seceret of eternal life above all else. He is able to rearrange the carbon molecules in his body to create a shield that coats his body and is as hard as diamond. strong, fast and durable he is a good fighter and for a manga character has a actually badass personality and ability.

VS Wrath / King Bradley

His eye, usually covered by an eyepatch, gives him the foresight to see all possible outcomes of a given situation, allowing him to predict the moves of any opponent before they happen. I wouldn't particularly call the matter manip a weakness of Greed's shield. No other Alchemist or person for that matter could hope to do battle with Greed because getting through his Shield would require the foreknowledge of its composition and a Transmutation circle laden battlefield with several alchemists on scene to try and trap him. Ed is just a genius in his own right and has the unique ability to be able to do transmutations on the fly. It's more a "Right place at the right time" kind of thing instead of a failing of the Shield.

you make a good point. i simply put it as such as my thinking was someone with ability of manner manip could most likely render the shield breakable. not past regeneration but breakable. in case of alchemy/alchemists "right place at the right time" was right. without prior knowledge and certain ability it would be hard to take advantage of.

its a weakness hard to exploit. best kind of weakness to have lol.

Fighting Blind
Greed and Ling Yao share a body and switch control of the body to exploit one anothers abilites. one of Ling Yao's ability is that he can fight in the dark and track strong beings.
