Americans don't have accents.

It's everyone else that does.

I don't think it's that bad, usually.

I understand why it happens, because most singers sing that way.

It's the default singing accent.

It's sort of like how some American performers sing with an English accent. It's stupid, but for some people it's tradition.

Yeah theres a rather large hiphop community in Aus now, a few listens to Home and Hosed on Triple J would show that.
