Hai all
I'm just starting over with a new thread, and a proper serious one as well. I compose lyrics, and sometimes a tune to it as well. I write poems as well, based on my experiences, life in general and some even people in general.

I shall start off by posting the very first song I wrote, and this one has no tune I wrote this after one of my friends who is in college, got dumped by her boyfriend. He dumped her by a letter, and he used green paper to write on. So this one was inspired by that incident, and it is a little on the humorous side, some may find it amusing, some may not like it lol.

I do like criticism, and if you have any, feel free to dish it out politely please. Thank you

Green Paper Heartbreak

Waking up one Saturday morning
Thought everything was fine
Reaching out and finding an empty space.
Got out of bed and searched all the rooms,
His things were gone and the door was locked.
Oh no, it can't be true.

There was a green paper stuck on the bathroom mirror
Which in his writing it said, "Goodbye my dear"
Knees buckled and tears spilled as i sat on the floor
Couldn't believe he'd packed his things and walked out the door

Ooo green paper heartbreak
You're just something I can't take
Ooo green, green oh green paper heartbreak
Didn't think I'd get my first heartbreak in the loo.
Didn't think anyone could be so God damn cruel

Made myself breakfast and drank some cooling tea
Remembering the last thing he said was, "Goodnight sweetie"
He'd pecked me on the forehead and pull me to his chest
Who knew something so beautiful could turn into such a mess?

This one was written quite some time ago; say, 8 months or so?
Written while I was a confused, lost kid and of course, on the verge of giving up. Had the whole "**** the world" attitude.

Just Maybe

It's a dark night,
There's no light,
Someone light a candle for me.
Tell me a story
And maybe
Just maybe
With a happy ending
So I can learn to live again

However long in the night, the dawn will come
The sun shall rise and I hope that the clouds never fade
I wish it's true, that clouds do have a silver lining
But I'll try, I'll fight, I'll prove to myself and everyone else
Just maybe, just maybe...
I'll change.

The world is full of suffering
The cheats, deceit and all the pain
But take a step back and open your eyes
There's some beauty in midst of all the lies

Don't build a wall
It will only get in the way
Learn to love, to live, to laugh
Even though you're surrounded by the darkness
Just find the light in the dark and you'll never lose your way.

But i love the lyrics they're tres awesome

i really like your poetry/lyrics, they're something that people can relate to and they're sweet and well..worded (that doesnt sound right, but you know i love it and yoo!)

Seven Colours; A Rainbow

Seven colours
One rainbow
All so pretty and bright
We have red, orange and yellow
Followed by green, blue and indigo
Violet would be the last in the row.

Is there a meaning behind each colour?
Do they represent emotions, feelings and such?
How I wish I knew.

Red could present anger
Hatred, revenge and pure evil
It could also present a passionate love
Something many thirst for and is beautiful

Orange and yellow
The two colours that always seem to follow one another
They remind me of the sun, and a meadow full of yellow flowers
What about you?

Green is easy on the eyes
Green appears to present peace and calmness
But it also seems to present jealousy
Which could it be?

Indigo and violet
The two colours hardly ever mentioned daily
Royal, regal and interesting on its own.
Not dull, but they both often stand alone.

Last Night

Last night as I laid in bed, my love
I began to think of you and dream
My darling, you're more precious to me than a treasure-trove.
I envision you enveloping me in your arms
Feeling peace, secured and warm.
The desire I feel to be with you right there and then
Oh, my sweetheart, how I wish I could overcome this pain.

I begin to dream of your beautiful face
A beautiful face which not even the best artist could ever trace, perfectly.
I find myself looking into your eyes
Which radiate like a thousand pillars of heavenly light
Eyes which have seen so much misery, darkness yet be so full of love and might.

I begin to dream of your mind
Filled with knowledge, facts and intelligence
Getting to know you and going deeper into the dark depths of your mind
Honey, you truly are one of a kind.

Last night as I laid in bed, my love
I began to think of how much more important you are to me
Then a million of treasure-troves.
