They have to traverse the galaxy. Both are at peak conditions and Gladiator is fully confident for the duration of the race, who's faster?

I think Superman is 10 times the hero the surfer is. I just don't let my bias get in the way when debating though...

surfer is top 5 fastest character because he actually has to be.
finding planets for galactus is an ever increasing task that spans the entire universe, and galactus has to feed approximately once an earth month so... you get the picture.

galactus gave him the cosmic surf board to travel faster than most for that reason, and galactus doesn't screw around with his hunger.

i mean, name another character other than a herald of galactus (or hermes) who's job it is to get place to place across universes as an occupation.

Very well put. Just because u like a character does not mean u shud give that character wins over clearly more powerful ones.

His board also allows him to enter hyperspace, giving him a huge advantage against most other Marvel characters.

I've seen both of them travel light years in a matter of seconds. Like Surfer, Gladiator's job entails lots of interstellar travel. He polices an empire that spans galaxies and is routinely called on to deal with matters outside the empire, after all.

My gut says Surfer, but I think that either of them are so fast that a writer can have them travel from anywhere to anywhere else in no time flat and it won't seem unusual.

Gladiator can move so fast that he enters the 4th dimension. I've seen the pic of him ripping apart a medium star.
The reason I think Surfer will win is because with PC comes the cosmic awareness. Now i know Glads can see through time but Cosmic Awareness is better than that i think.

Both these guys can enter hyperspace at will.


But travel speed and bullrushing speed wise, Surfer is faster. Probably by a lot.
