So this thread is closed but I'm kinda confused at the reactions.
People are saying stuff like Peter always wore the kid gloves with Fisk in the past which is a baseless assumption.
But what's even dumber is they're comparing the Spiderman Kingpin used to fight to the one who beat him. This Spidey is kinda, way way stronger than he used to be...?

Plus put this in perspective. Kingpin is a street-leveler. et he's still not even unconscious after a bloodlusted beating from Spider-Man. Let's put Batman or Captain America there and have them be beaten on by Peter in that mindset.
Let's then see if they're even still alive, let alone conscious.

Really, Kingpin is one of the most underrated characters on these forums.

Otherwise, I generally agree. Spidey is >> he was 30 years ago, and KP is << his earlier incarnations. There was no official depowerment with KP, but it is quite clear that he was slowly written down into a much less formidable physical opponent.

Current KP isn't much. Classic likely is underrated, as you suggest. There isn't a clear line between the two, since it's all canon for him, but it's easy to see the distinction.
