Revamped Dr. Doom Respect Thread

This is a new Respect Thread for one of the most iconic villains in comics lore. Dr. Doom is probably the most infamous and prevalent villain in Marvel Comics. His guest appearances more than make up for a lack of his own series. He has essentially fought everybody. Indeed, fighting Dr. Doom is like a special initiation or badge of honor for all Marvel heroes and villains to climb towards. What is most surprising, is that Doom rarely is humiliated or stomped on, even as the villain and antagonist of a story.

So while Doom's plans are foiled often, I don't have to resort to cherry-picking scans from his fights at all. Enjoy it and feel free to post more scans yourself. But do try to make sure you don't double up on them. To better help avoid duplication, every single scan cites an issue #. So if you're not sure whether a scan that you have is not displayed here, try running an advanced search with the title, issue # and posted by me to do a quick reference check. As the rules state, trolling and disrespect will not be tolerated. The feats are all canon and no alternate reality or alternate version feats are listed in the scans. It's pure Dr. Doom.

I've done my best to organize it into sections:

I. RESPECT
II. STRENGTH
III. AGILITY
IV. BLAST POWER
V. FORCE-FIELDS
VI. ARMOR'S DURABILITY
VII. WILLPOWER
VIII. SKILL

I. RESPECT

Dr. Doom strikes fear into many of his foes, but he also garners great respect. So what better place to start than with examples of the respect he gets from other characters. Here, Magneto even considers him a true Homo Superior, from Super-Villain Team-Up #14:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Stats/DoomRespect01SVTU14.jpg

Modok concedes he is the greatest robotics master in the world in Captain America #132:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Inventions/DoomGenius01Cap132.jpg

Thanos also respects Doom and is wary enough to keep constant surveillance on him, from Marvel Universe: The End #1:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Stats/DoomRespect02TheEnd1.jpg

Although they had never met, even Akhenaten considered Doom to be one of his most dangerous adversaries from the start, from Marvel Universe: The End #3:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Stats/DoomRespect03TheEnd3.jpg

II. STRENGTH

Now let's get physical. Doom doesn't have a whole lot of actual strength feats. Most times, his armor's strength is on display when he trades blows with the Thing. But there are some directly quantifiable ones. Here, Doom breaks out of a titanium net in Super-Villain Team-Up #7:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Stats/DoomStrength01SVTU7.jpg

And here, Doom shatters a diamond into dust in his palm, from Amazing Spiderman #350:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Stats/DoomStrength02ASM350.jpg

III. AGILITY

While Doom's armor doesn't appear to help his agility at all, it isn't to be underestimated. Here, he punks Beast in Avengers #156:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Stats/DoomAgility01Avengers156.jpg

Doom moves swiftly to stop a shrunken Invisible Girl's assault in Fantastic Four #236:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Stats/DoomAgility02236.jpg

Doom reacts quickly for a man in armor, because he can react in a split second, from Dr. Strange/Dr. Doom: Triumph and Torment:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Stats/DoomAgility03TriumphTorment1.jpg
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Stats/DoomAgility04TriumphTorment1.jpg

Out of his armor, he's agile enough to fight a lion with his bare hands:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Stats/DoomAgility05Doom1.jpg

IV. BLAST POWER

Doom kills the Molecule Man with a sneak blitz attack, Molecule Man eventually resurrects himself from death, from Fantastic Four # 318:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Stats/DoomBlasts01318.jpg
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Stats/DoomAgility05Doom1.jpg

They're also strong enough to put down both Magus and Warlock, from Infinity War #5:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Stats/DoomBlasts02IW5.jpg
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Stats/DoomBlasts03IW5.jpg

Unsurprisingly, he can destroy Sentinels with a single blast, from X-Men #56:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Stats/DoomBlasts04Xmen56.jpg
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Stats/DoomBlasts05Xmen56.jpg

V. FORCE-FIELDS

Doom has some of the strongest force-fields in comics. First off, they're just plain stronger than Invisible Girl's, from Fantastic Four #200:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Stats/DoomForcefields01200.jpg

Iron Man's repulsor rays can't even dent them, from Avengers #156:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Stats/DoomForcefields02Avengers156.jpg

And even Iron Man's strongest blast just makes him angry, from Iron Man #149:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Stats/DoomForcefields03IronMan149.jpg

His force-fields allow him to survive his first physical encounter with the Beyonder's power, which throws him and Galactus back to Battleworld's surface. Doom wakes up first, from Secret Wars #1:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Stats/DoomForcefields04SW1.jpg
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Stats/DoomForcefields05SW1.jpg

Doom manages to survive being thrown from Galactus' Worldship by Galactus personally, from Secret Wars #7:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Stats/DoomForcefields06SW7.jpg

Captain Britain sends Doom flying around Limbo and Doom scoffs at it's effect, from Excalibur #37:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Stats/DoomForcefields07Excalibur37.jpg

Doom manages to survive an encounter with the Infinity Gauntlet's power, from Infinity Gauntlet #4:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Stats/DoomForcefields08IG4.jpg
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Stats/DoomForcefields09IG5.jpg

VI. ARMOR'S DURABILITY

Even without force-fields, Doom's armor itself is quite durable. Here, he takes the explosive force of two missiles detonated at point-blank range, from Super-Villain Team-Up #3:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Stats/DoomDurability01SVTU3.jpg

Doom's armor blunts and absorbs the destructive capability of an atomic grenade, from Moon Knight #39:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Stats/DoomDurability02MoonKnight39.jpg
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Stats/DoomDurability03MoonKnight39.jpg

VII. WILLPOWER

Doom's willpower may be second to none in Marvel comics. Throughout his fights, it is constantly on display. Here are some of his most impressive willpower feats. In Secret Wars #9, Doom is being peeled apart by the Beyonder, but still manages to activate the device in his breastplate:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Stats/DoomWill01SW9.jpg

Doom also withstands the Purple Man's mind-powers in Emperor Doom. Purple Man, before Zemo upgraded his powers, was even able to influence Nate Grey's mind. Captain America couldn't even escape Purple Man's power, but Doom did:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Stats/DoomWill02EmperorDoom1.jpg

Molecule Man and the Cube Beings reveal that the reason Doom couldn't hold Beyonder's power was because he was incomplete. But if given a second chance, Molecule Man says he would retain it in Fantastic Four #319:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Stats/DoomWill03319.jpg

Those who wield the Soulsword gain Promethium armor. Doom was able to reject it through sheer will, until he needed it in Excalibur #39:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Stats/DoomWill04Excalibur39.jpg

Dazzler reaches peak intensity and Doom's will prevents him from becoming insane from it in Dazzler #4:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Stats/DoomWill05Dazzler4.jpg

Doom suffers torment in Hell but refuses to let a single indication of pain come from his mouth in Fantastic Four #507:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Stats/DoomWill06507.jpg

When the entire world's population mutates as a result of High Evolutionary's device, Doom is able to resist the mutation simply through his will in Spiderman and the Fantastic Four #3:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Stats/DoomWill07SpidermanandFF3.jpg

VIII. SKILL

Doom's personal combat skills are prevalent in many of his fights. For instance, there are very few people who can wield Captain America's shield. Doom is among those few, as shown in Avengers #25:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Stats/DoomSkill01Avengers25.jpg

While in Daredevil's body, he lays into his own henchmen who make the mistake of attacking him, from Daredevil #38
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Stats/DoomSkill02Daredevil38.jpg

Doom studied swordsmanship with the greatest masters in Europe, as a student and then as their master, and easily outduels Krang, from Super-Villain Team-Up #13:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Stats/DoomSkill03SVTU13.jpg

His H2H fighting skills are good enough to kill a lion with a single blow, from Doom #1:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Stats/DoomSkill04Doom1.jpg
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Stats/DoomSkill05Doom1.jpg

He also demonstrates his knowledge of nerve strikes against humans in Doom #1:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Stats/DoomSkill06Doom1.jpg
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Stats/DoomSkill07Doom1.jpg

Doom also demonstrates piloting skills in Doom #2. The last line is just pure bad-ass, "They raced with death. Death claims victory.":
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Stats/DoomSkill08Doom2.jpg

IX. SUPER-POWERS

Doom has actually given himself super-powers. One of his most infamous ones is the Ovoid Mind Transfer. Doom need only make eye contact to transfer his mind into another person's body. He first uses it in Fantastic Four #10 and transfers into Reed's body:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Stats/DoomPowers01-OvoidMindTransfer10.jpg
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Stats/DoomPowers02-OvoidMindTransfer10.jpg

Far from a one-time only power, Doom again makes use of the Ovoid Mind Transfer to save his life, recounting it in Fantastic Four #287:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Stats/DoomPowers05-OvoidMindTransfer287.jpg

And if using it twice doesn't convince you that Doom still maintains this ability, he uses it again to transfer into Zarrko's body in Fantastic Four #407:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Stats/DoomPowers06-OvoidMindTransfer407.jpg

And if you really still think he wouldn't use such a power in present comics, he used the Ovoid Mind Transfer again in Fantastic Four #507 to take over Sue's body, then Johnny's body, then Thing's body even while being assaulted. Even Thing's iron will isn't enough to stop Doom:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Stats/DoomPowers08-OvoidMindTransfer507.jpg
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Stats/DoomPowers09-OvoidMindTransfer507.jpg

http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Stats/DoomPowers11-OvoidMindTransfer507.jpg

Doom can also hypnotize other people with just his eyes, from Iron Man #150:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Stats/DoomPowers04-HypnotismIronMan150.jpg

Doom again displays his hypnotic abilities and rips off Aquaman, when he controls a gigantic sea creature in Doom #3:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Stats/DoomPowers07-HypnotismDoom3.jpg

X. SORCERY

Some folks underestimate Doom's skills with magic. Some folks overestimate them. Hopefully these next set of scans will allow you to form your own opinion. But make no mistake, from the very beginning, magic has been an integral part of Doom's character. In Dr. Doom's very first appearance in Fantastic Four #5, Reed describes Doom, and refers to his sorcery above all else:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Stats/DoomSorcery015.jpg

Their very first adventure together also involved magical baubles, from Fantastic Four #5:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Stats/DoomSorcery025.jpg

Every summer, Doom summons Mephisto to battle for his mother's soul, as first recounted in Astonishing Tales #8
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Stats/DoomSorcery03AstonishingTales8.jpg

Doom's dormant magical power was coveted by the Dark Rider, in Marvel Team-Up #43:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Stats/DoomSorcery04MTU43.jpg

Doom's studies extend far and wide. Here, he learns everything that Cagliostro knows in Iron Man #149:

XI. INTELLIGENCE

As most people know, Doom's greatest weapon is his mind. Here, he believes his intelligence to be the equal of Reed Richards and helps prove his case by understanding Reed's devices with a simple glance, from Fantastic Four #140:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Stats/DoomIntellect0140.jpg

XII. DOOM'S INVENTIONS

To better showcase Doom's genius, I've catalogued nearly all of Doom's inventions from his appearances. Some appear to be quite far-fetched, but I paid special attention to the more outlandish inventions to see if they made more than one appearance to give them credibility and weight. For instance, in Doom's second appearance in Fantastic Four #6, he creates a Magnetic Grabber to propel the entire Baxter Building into outer space:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Inventions/DoomDevice01-MagneticGrabber6.jpg
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Inventions/DoomDevice02-MagneticGrabber6.jpg

And if you think that's just silly Silver Age stuff, well... the Magnetic Grabber makes another appearance decades later in Fantastic Four #278:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Inventions/DoomDevice29-MagneticGrabber278.jpg
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Inventions/DoomDevice30-MagneticGrabber278.jpg

Another of Doom's seemingly more outlandish inventions is the Molecule Expander. It emits intensified molecules which expand to the size of boulders, as first seen in Marvel Superheroes #20. Don't worry, you'll see it again:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Inventions/DoomDevice12b-MoleculeExpanderMarve.jpg

Doom also makes use of a wide variety of spatial teleportation devices. The first was the Mental Teleporter that teleports Reed directly into his laboratory, from Fantastic Four #10:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Inventions/DoomDevice03-MentalTeleporter10.jpg

Doom uses a Molecular Displacer to transport Donald Blake into his car, from Thor #182
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Inventions/DoomDevice15-MolecularDisplacerThor.jpg

Dimensional Transport device, from Fantastic Four #23:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Inventions/DoomDevice07-DimensionalTransport23.jpg

Heaven Breacher. Yes, Doom's device that scarred him was meant to breach Heaven. And it works because Reed, Sue and Johnny do just that to get Ben Grimm back after he is killed by Doom, from Fantastic Four #509:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Inventions/DoomDevice43-HeavenBreacher509.jpg

Doom also shows his mastery of time with his famous Time Platform, the only working time machine on Marvel Earth. It made its first appearance waaaaaay back in Fantastic Four #5:

http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Inventions/DoomTimePlatform035.jpg

In the past, Doom also used it to make recon of the future and find out about Onslaught long before Onslaught ever manifested himself, from X-Men Annual 1998 #1:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Inventions/DoomTimePlatform046.jpg

And the Time Shift Bomb, which throws the FF two seconds into the past, from Fantastic Four #318:

http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Inventions/DoomDevice36-TimeDisplacerThor410.jpg

Dr. Doom has a special penchant for controlling other people. And because of that, he invents another way to subjugate others every other week. That, and he ends up calling them different names. Every. Time. His first one was the Hypnoticon, from Daredevil #37:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Inventions/DoomDevice12-HypnoticonDaredevil37.jpg

Now it's the Hypno-Persuader, from Fantastic Four #84:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Inventions/DoomDevice13-HypnoPersuader85.jpg
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Inventions/DoomDevice14-HypnoPersuader84.jpg

Here, he calls it the Hypno-Probe, from Astonishing Tales #1:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Inventions/DoomDevice16-HypnoProbeAstonishingT.jpg

Now it's the Subliminal Inducer, from The Incredible Hulk #144:

From the graphic novel, Emperor Doom, the Psycho Prism allows him to control every single person on the planet. Doom also creates Psycho Prism Refractors to control artificial life-forms, e.g. Vision, Machine-Man and even Ultron:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Inventions/DoomDevice31-PsychoPrismEmperorDoom.jpg
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Inventions/DoomDevice32-PsychoPrismRefractorsE.jpg

http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Inventions/DoomDevice34-PsychoPrismRefractorsE.jpg

Doom has several devices that can either inhibit, nullify or outright steal super-powers. Here, Doom uses an Inhibitor Ray on Reed, preventing him from acting against Doom, from Fantastic Four: World's Greatest Comic Magazine #5:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Inventions/DoomDevice15a-InhibitorRayWorldsGre.jpg

He uses the Inhibitor Ray again in Fantastic Four #247:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Inventions/DoomDevice26-InhibitorRay247.jpg

Reed can't figure out how to cure Ben Grimm, he should probably ask to borrow Doom's Cosmic Beam Gun that reverts the Thing into Ben, from Fantastic Four #23:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Inventions/DoomDevice06-CosmicBeamGun23.jpg

The Avengers and X-Men should have called in Doom to avoid the whole House of M fiasco by using his Hex Nullifier, from Avengers #25:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Inventions/DoomDevice11-HexNullifierAvengers25.jpg

But his most impressive invention has to be the Power Cosmic Siphon Harness. Here, it steals an Earth-bound Silver Surfer's power in Fantastic Four #57:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Fights/DoomPowerCosmic0157.jpg
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Fights/DoomPowerCosmic0257.jpg

Here, it steals the Power Cosmic from Galactus himself, from Fantastic Four: World's Greatest Comic Magazine #10:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Inventions/DoomPowerCosmicSiphonHarness02World.jpg

Here, he steals Aron the Rogue Watcher's power in Fantastic Four #373:

http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Inventions/DoomPowerCosmicSiphonHarness04373.jpg

He uses it against Hyperstorm in Fantastic Four #409:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Inventions/DoomPowerCosmicSiphonHarness05409.jpg

But Doom doesn't just steal, he analyzes and can synthesize those powers. The Power Cosmic Synthesizer from Fantastic Four #156:

XIII. DOOMBOTS

The progenitor of all avatars and excuses for super-villains not to lose. Dr. Doom started the fad of replacing himself with doubles waaaaaay back in his first appearance, Fantastic Four #5:

XIV. DOOM'S DRONES

Doom has also created an impressive series of drones with his intellect. One of his first ones can easily tear a tank apart, from Fantastic Four #85:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Inventions/DoomDrones0185.jpg

XV. DOOM'S ARMOR

Doom's armor itself is one of his greatest inventions. It is probably his most trademark characteristic. In terms of raw power generated, Doom's armor can emit 100,000 Megavolts of energy. A typical lightning bolt emits 100 MV of energy, from Marvel Superheroes #20:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Inventions/DoomArmor02b-100kMegavoltsMarvelSup.jpg

And if you thought being 1,000 times more powerful than a lightning bolt was impressive... how about 500,000 MV of energy? From Fantastic Four #350:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Inventions/DoomArmor38-500kMegavolts350.jpg

Doom's armor is so scientifically advanced, that when it traps Reed inside, Reed can't escape because it's just that damn smart, from Fantastic Four vol. 2 #27:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Inventions/DoomArmor43-ArtificialIntelligence2.jpg

And apparently, it's magically cursed too, because it begins taking over Reed's mind in Fantastic Four vol. 2 #30. Check out what ultimately happens in the Fights portion of the Respect Thread:

http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Inventions/DoomArmor51-ScanBlockerMightyAvenge.jpg

Doom has a lot of backup power sources built into his armor as well, here he makes use of a Thermo Energizer to break free of steel restraints after his armor was drained, from Astonishing Tales #5:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Inventions/DoomArmor05-ThermoEnergizerAstonish.jpg

http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Inventions/DoomArmor35-PointSingularityPowerSu.jpg

And while not as versatile as his Power Cosmic Siphon Harness, he can adjust his Personal Adapters to absorb different forms of energy, from Fantastic Four #380:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Inventions/DoomArmor40-PersonalAdaptors380.jpg

His Personal Adapters are used here when he drains power from a city-sized machine to replenish his power in Thor Annual 1999 #1:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Inventions/DoomArmor42-PersonalAdaptersThorAnn.jpg

Can his Personal Adapters handle immense power without need for a buffer? How about Franklin Richards' power, from Heroes Reborn #4:

http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Inventions/DoomArmor36-TimeDisplacementDefense.jpg

As you would expect, Doom has a Gas-Filter built in to his armor, from Marvel Superheroes #20:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Inventions/DoomArmor02c-GasFilterMarvelSuperhe.jpg

And in case you think there are times Doom doesn't have a Gas-Filter, many times more often than not, he does, from Super-Villain Team-Up #7:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Inventions/DoomArmor22-GasFilterSVTU7.jpg

Doom's armor is also Water-Proof, from Super-Villain Team-Up #1:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Inventions/DoomArmor12-WaterproofGSVTU156.jpg

XV. DOOM'S ARMOR (cont'd)

Doom's armor is outfitted with a plethora of offensive gadgets. Here is a catalogue of built-in armaments that you would expect Doom to have. Again, any of the more zany ones, I've paid attention to whether or not there have been repeat appearances. Surprisingly, there are. First, a Refrigeration Unit, from Fantastic Four #23:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Inventions/DoomArmor01-RefrigerationUnit23.jpg

His Thermal Variance device allows him to do the same thing, from Astonishing Tales #5:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Inventions/DoomArmor06-ThermalVarianceAstonish.jpg

He also has Freeze-Units built into his glove, from Super-Villain Team-Up #12:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Inventions/DoomArmor25-FreezeUnitSVTU12.jpg

It also doesn't take a lot of power for him to use his Refrigeration Unit in Fantastic Four #200:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Inventions/DoomArmor30-RefrigerationUnit200.jpg

And remember that goofy Molecular Expander? Yeah... he built it into his armor by Astonishing Tales #3:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Inventions/DoomArmor04-FieldNullifierMolecular.jpg

And uses the Molecular Expander against Iron Man in Iron Man #149:

The Sleeping Gas works so quickly, Mr. Fantastic can't even compensate for it, from Fantastic Four #198:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Inventions/DoomArmor29-SleepingGas198.jpg

Sleeping Gas from his gloves puts Banner to sleep, from Incredible Hulk #143:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Inventions/DoomArmor07-SleepingGasHulk143.jpg

XVI. DOOM'S VARIANT ARMORS

Doom isn't like Iron Man, switching up design every other year. He basically makes improvements to the standard design constantly. But he does have a list of impressive and distinct variant armors. The first would be the Promethium Soul Armor from Excalibur #39:

And in case you think it's just a one-time thing from his adventure in Limbo, he returns to Earth in it in Fantastic Four #350:

His nastiest piece of work, the Skin Armor is made of his childhood love's skin and infused with black magic, from Fantastic Four vol. 2 #67:

His Excalibur Armor. Yes, he managed to infuse a shard of Excalibur into his armor making him invincible in Iron Man: Legacy of Doom #2:

XVII. ESSENTIAL DOOM

I didn't quite know where to put this, but I figure these particular adventures demand a special place in the Respect Thread rather than being buried in a general fights section. In this section are some of Doom's greatest feats and what I consider, essential Doom reading. Let's start with the first time he steals the Power Cosmic in Fantastic Four #57-60:

Secret Wars. Nuff said. Doom's most widely read feat, which elevated Doom to a whole other level. Within this story-arc, Doom manages to subdue Galactus and defeat the most powerful entity written by Marvel. If you haven't read it, you are not a comics fan:

I first started respecting Dr. Doom after reading this story. As much a Dr. Strange story as a Dr. Doom story, this canon graphic novel portrays how Dr. Strange ascended from Master of the Mystic Arts to Sorcerer Supreme and concludes Dr. Doom's long quest to save his mother's soul. From Dr. Strange/Dr. Doom: Triumph and Torment:

A seldom read story, Fantastic Four: World's Greatest Comic Magazine was a tribute to Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. Several dozen artists and writers contributed to the 12-part limited series. It is Doom's first adventure with the Cosmic Cube and takes him across the entire Marvel Universe and guest-stars everybody. Everybody. It's canon and it chronologically takes place right before Fantastic Four #100:

XVII. ESSENTIAL DOOM (cont'd)

The title of the story-arc speaks for itself. Unthinkable was Mark Waid's most ambitious FF story and set a new mark of villainy for Doom's career. After cursing Valeria Richards as his familiar and sacrificing his child-hood love to demons for power, he goes on to banish Franklin to Hell and combat the FF in Fantastic Four vol. 2 #67-70 and #500:

XVIII. FEATS

Here is another quick catalogue of other accomplishments. First, Doom has conquered a lot of places, a lot of times. First, he's brought America to its knees before in Fantastic Four #117:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/DoomConquersAmerica0117.jpg

Doom also conquered 616-Earth in the limited series, Fantastic Four: World's Greatest Comic Magazine #12:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/DoomConquersEarth00WorldsGreatest12.jpg

He conquered 616-Earth again in Champions #16:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/DoomConquersEarth01Champions16.jpg

And he conquered 616-Earth once more in the graphic novel, Emperor Doom. What's notable about this instance, is that he begins to create a utopia and then voluntarily gives up rule because :

He also conquered Counter-Earth, the pocket-dimension Earth that Franklin Richards created during Onslaught, from Doom: Emperor Returns #2:

XIX. DOOM'S FIGHTS

Dr. Doom has more fights against heroes than any other comic villain. Writers just love using him because he represents instant danger and drama. And even though he's the antagonist that must ultimately lose fights, I've scanned nearly every single one of his fights here. Once again, no cherry-picking and I've chosen to even show his ultimate defeat in these following battles, because he is rarely humiliated and even in defeat, he demands respect. I've chosen to leave out fights where he uses vast armies to get a sense of what Doom can do personally. Get ready.

XX. MISCELLANEOUS

I couldn't think of any other places to put these. So I made a catch-all category. Firstly, Doom has "died" a dozen times and he always comes back. So here's a few scans showing how many times Doom has evaded certain death. The first time it happened was at the end of Fantastic Four #6 where he's thrown into space and eventually saved by the Ovoids:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/DoomDies016.jpg

This time, he's shrunk into oblivion in Fantastic Four #16, but ends up conquering a planet in the Microverse:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/DoomDies0216.jpg

I'm pretty sure Doom gets sucked into the Negative Zone here in Fantastic Four #23:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/DoomDies0323.jpg

Here, Doom runs straight into the Galactus Barrier in Fantastic Four #60:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/DoomDies0460.jpg

Doom gets done in by his own creation, Darkoth in a fiery explosion in Fantastic Four #144, I have no idea how he escaped:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/DoomDies05144.jpg

Doom gets destroyed by Terrax and Silver Surfer in Fantastic Four #260, he escapes into another person's body via the Ovoid Mind Transfer:

XXI. KNOWLEDGE

Doom has his fingers on the pulse of the Marvel Universe. Although Doom really had no business knowing this, he knew about Cap's and Red Skull's first battle over the Cosmic Cube, from Fantastic Four: World's Greatest Comic Magazine #4:

XXII. NOBLE OR EVIL?

Depending on what Doom stories you've read, there are differing opinions on whether you think Doom is ultimately noble or evil. And authors have starkly different views. But I thought these next few scans, in addition to the ones already provided, might help you form your own opinion. Nevertheless, he does have moments where his nobility shows, such as keeping his word when he has his most hated foes right where he wants them in Fantastic Four #87:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/DoomHonor0187.jpg

And he refuses to be a savage in Astonishing Tales #6:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/DoomHonor02AstonishingTales6.jpg

After distrusting Doom and assaulting him, Doom shows Namor the meaning of shame in Namor #49:

http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/DoomHonor04Namor49.jpg

Doom's sense of pride forces him to save Captain America's life in Super-Villain Team-Up #11:

Doom could have stomped the Thing, but doesn't in Marvel Two-In-One #96:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/DoomHonor08MarvelTwoInOne96.jpg

If you thought Doom would never compromise his pride to Reed in front of anyone, he does so in front of the FF and X-Men through a child's pleadings to save an innocent life, from Fantastic Four vs X-Men #4:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/DoomHonor09FFvsXMen4.jpg

And Rachel Grey as the Phoenix uses her cosmic senses to detect no evil within Doom, from Excalibur #37:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/DoomHonor10Excalibur37.jpg

But you know, I don't think Phoenix was very accurate. So here are some evil acts. And while Doom doesn't usually pick on children, he sure seemed ready to sacrifice poor Franklin Richards to Mephisto here in Fantastic Four Annual #20:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/DoomEvil01FFAnnual20.jpg

No, Excalibur does not like Doom very much, from Iron Man #250:

Doom thinks his subjects are insignificant. Not cool. From Fantastic Four #381:

And this is actually just an avatar construct, but he just wanted his ponies, from Doom: Emperor Returns #2:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/DoomEvil04EmperorReturns2.jpg

This isn't just evil. It's Unthinkable. Just look at that smile he elicits from her before doing what he does. Chilling. From Fantastic Four vol. 2 #67:

http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/DoomEvil0767.jpg

But at least, Doom knows how to make a funny. And that's actually Steve Rogers in that uniform from Amazing Spiderman vol. 2 #50. Pwned:

XXIII. DOOM PREP

You've probably already seen how well Doom preps on the fly in his battles and feats. But what else does he do with preparation? Well... this speaks for itself, from Doom #2:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/DoomPrep01Doom2.jpg

XXIV. DOOM'S FUTURE

Well that's it. But while Doom is currently held in the Raft, he's had his fingers in a lot of pies throughout Marvel. Something is coming and Doom will probably be near or at the center of it all:

Doom involved in the recent Death of Captain America, from Captain America #23:

Doom recently offered Namor and his people sanctuary after Atlantis is destroyed, from Namor vol. 2 #6

Doom makes a deal with Loki concerning the return of the Asgardians, from Thor vol. 2 #5:

Once again, thanks for reading and feel free to post additions, suggestions, corrections, etc. Peace.

Good one, Doom is power.

Um DumbGo i think you might have taken Dooms involvement with Skull out of context.....I think Doom was just giving RS plans for a Sleeper robot. RS then used tthe sleeper but that plan didn't even have anything really to do with the death of Cap, well if it did it was indirect. So all Doom was doing was really giving RS weapons and that weapon wasn't even used to kill Cap.

Bentley
He did ask for something from the Skull, what was it?

It wasn't my intention to suggest that Dr. Doom wanted to help Red Skull in his plans to kill Captain America, but he did aid him during that storyline. It's just an example of him being involved in a lot of recent major storylines moving forward and yet, there doesn't appear to be any oversaturation backlash. In fact, it looks like Dr. Doom will be a major player in Bendis' new mega event after Secret Invasion with his role in the Dark Illuminati one-shot.

Beyonder put his guard down,
and was actually helping Doom when Doom pulled the PIS move.

And even then, it was all PIS that surpasses that of FL/SP.

Yea I know, gotta make it interesting to sell more comics,

(there are other details as well ... but this isn't the thread for that)

According to Owen in the retcon, one can easily come to the conclusion,
that Doom was actually allowed to take Beyonder's power,
by Beyonder's own un-conscious will, according to MM:

Is this were he was retconned to be a cosmic cube? if so dooms feat of stealing his power was a mere cosmic cube?

A few revelations were just revealed..

-We learn that Doom is/was the Marquis of Death's apprentice.

-We also learn that, despite him being torn apart (literally) at the dawn of time, Doom's sheer hatred somehow kept him alive.

-He studied the black arts for millions of years; transforming his body molecule by molecule, until no traces of his former self remained.

-It is revealed that he apparently became powerful enough to kill a Watcher.

-He may have been powerful enough to kill Clyde Wincham.

Been away a few months. Here are some fights that Dr. Doom has had since the last time the thread's been updated. The Morgana Le Fay fight might not seem appropriate for a Respect Thread, but I think its a good showcase of Dr. Doom being ambushed by a high-level sorcerer and how Dr. Doom does when he ambushes a high-level sorcerer. Consider also that Morgana gets in the first volley both times:

Dr. Doom vs Morgana Le Fey, from Dark Avengers #3-4:

http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Fights/th_DoomvsMorgana01DarkAvengers02.jpg http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Fights/th_DoomvsMorgana02.jpg http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Fights/th_DoomvsMorgana03DarkAvengers03.jpg http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Fights/th_DoomvsMorgana04.jpg http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Fights/th_DoomvsMorgana05.jpg http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Fights/th_DoomvsMorgana06.jpg

OneDumbG0
Here's another recent fight. And wow. Brutal one-shot. Also showcasing Dr. Doom's H2H reflexes at the end.

Dr. Doom(w/ bot) vs Black Panther and the Dora Milaje, from Black Panther vol.5 #1-2:

http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Fights/th_DoomvsBlackPanther05BlackPantherv51.jpg http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Fights/th_DoomvsBlackPanther06BlackPantherv52.jpg http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Fights/th_DoomvsBlackPanther07.jpg http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Fights/th_DoomvsBlackPanther08.jpg http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Fights/th_DoomvsBlackPanther09.jpg http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Fights/th_DoomvsBlackPanther10.jpg

OneDumbG0
And his most recent fight against the new Sorcerer Supreme. One of the few times I've seen Dr. Doom combine his talents of technology and magic in a fight. And even though it was a prepped ambush, quite impressive considering Doctor Voodoo bested Dormammu in his own realm earlier in the issue.

Dr. Doom vs Doctor Voodoo, from Doctor Voodoo: Avenger of the Supernatural #1:

http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Fights/th_DoomvsDoctorVoodoo01DoctorVoodoo1.jpg http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Fights/th_DoomvsDoctorVoodoo02.jpg http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Fights/th_DoomvsDoctorVoodoo03.jpg http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Fights/th_DoomvsDoctorVoodoo04.jpg http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Fights/th_DoomvsDoctorVoodoo05.jpg http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Fights/th_DoomvsDoctorVoodoo06.jpg

OneDumbG0
While not encompassing all the updates I have for Doom, I thought I'd post these as well:

SORCERY

Doom's expertise permits him to (i) detect the considerable cloaking magicks of the Hood, and (ii) predict in advance, the teleportation of a god, from Secret Invasion: Dark Reign #1:

http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Inventions/th_DoomArmor53-Scanners.jpg http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Inventions/th_DoomArmor54-Scanners.jpg

Doom's appearance in Dark Avengers also revealed quite a bit about his sorcery: (i) although ambushed by a prepped Morgana Le Fay, Dr. Doom is able to briefly hold his own for a time; (ii) apparently, Dr. Doom can use time travel with not just his machines, but his magic too when he banishes Morgana Le Fay to prehistoric ages; and (iii) transference spells capable of turning a god into stone are "simple" ones and easily reversed by Doom, from Dark Avengers #2 and 4:

http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Stats/th_DoomSorcery25DarkAvengers02.jpg http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Stats/th_DoomSorcery26DarkAvengers03.jpg http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Stats/th_DoomSorcery27.jpg

Here, Doom manages to draw in and teleport Meggan out of Hell (who had just led an uprising throughout Hell itself), from Captain Britain and MI13 Annual #1:

http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Stats/th_DoomSorcery28CaptainBritainAnnual1.jpg

OneDumbG0
DOOM'S ARMOR

While it may appear self-evident, it's now clear that Doom's armor protects him from telepathic probing from even a telepath of Emma Frost's level, from Secret Invasion: Dark Reign #1:

http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Inventions/th_DoomArmor52-TelepathyBlockerSecretI.jpg

And well, Doom has a built-in Time Cube. Which not only permits him to travel through time, but allows him to reverse time in localized areas, from Dark Avengers #4:

http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Inventions/th_DoomArmor55-TimeCubeDarkAvengers02.jpg http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Inventions/th_DoomArmor56-TimeCubeDarkAvengers03.jpg http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Inventions/th_DoomArmor57-TimeCube.jpg

This is pretty neat. Doom actually incorporated splinters of the "true cross" to ward off evil, like Dracula, Lord of the Vampires, from Captain Britain and MI13 #11:

http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Inventions/th_DoomArmor58-CaptainBritain11.jpg

Doom's fight with Doctor Voodoo revealed a few things: (i) he can teleport, (ii) he's got an Ectoplasmic Ionizer that discorporates ghosts, and (iii) he can literally seize control over magical teleportation energies, from Doctor Voodoo: Avenger of the Supernatural #1:

http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Inventions/th_DoomArmor59-TeleportationDoctorVood.jpg http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Inventions/th_DoomArmor60-EctoplasmicIonizer.jpg http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Inventions/th_DoomArmor61-DimensionalTeleportatio.jpg

SoulDevourer
if Dooms FF is so good how did Sentry so pwn it so easily? huh
either Sentry > Big G or they retconned his FF & made it weaker

OneDumbG0
^ Personally, I've never subscribed to the idea that two feats must be mutually exclusively from each other.

I've never felt the need to reconcile the two feats but for your curiousity, offhandedly, I'd say that in Secret Wars, Galactus bore the main brunt of the Beyonder's attack and Doom was luckily subjected only to the aftershock, whereas in Mighty Avengers, Sentry clearly has one of his redeeming uber-moments, ala curbstomping Terrax, overloading Absorbing Man, etc.

OneDumbG0
In this update, I'd thought I'd showcase some of the more physical characteristics of Doom's actual armor a bit more:

BLAST POWER

While somewhat of a non-feat because Thing was previously injured, it's still impressive that Thing gets completely wrecked by only three of Doom's handblasts, from Fantastic Four #361:

http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Stats/th_DoomBlasts03a361-1.jpg

Black Panthers advanced vibranium suit does not save him from being one-shotted and nearly killed by another handblast, from Black Panther vol.5 #2:

http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Stats/th_DoomBlasts06BPv51.jpg

FORCE-FIELDS

Although Blastaar's power is magnified in the Negative Zone (he has lierally disintegrated Sersi in one shot once), Dr. Doom's forcefields are able to withstand his barrages, from Fantastic Four #318:

http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Stats/th_DoomForcefields06a318.jpg

ARMOR'S DURABILITY

There aren't a lot of pure armor feats since Doom is rarely stripped of his forcefield, but I've neglected to add in a few obvious instances where he eschews the use of his force-field and completely relies on his armor. So I'm going to post a bunch to help illustrate the extent of his armor's durability. Here, the Human Torch's flames have literally no effect on his armor... heck, they don't even singe his cape. From Fantastic Four #318:

http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Stats/th_DoomDurability02318.jpg

While it doesn't appear apropos for a respect thread since Doom is getting mightily pummeled, this is one of his armor's more impressive blunt force durability feats. Keep in mind, Namor's famously ripped Ironman's armor apart like it was paper underwater a couple of times. Here, Doom's getting straight up blitzed by a bloodlusted Namor underwater AND another Atlantean. I think that just surviving the barrage despite the doubling and redoubling of the blitz is quite impressive, from Namor vol.2 #31:

http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Fights/th_DoomvsNamor21.jpg http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Fights/th_DoomvsNamor22.jpg http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Fights/th_DoomvsNamor23.jpg

But for those who aren't impressed by Doom getting wrecked, here's another pure blunt-force armor durability feat, Doom barely registers a straight haymaker from the Thing, from Fantastic Four #537:

http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Stats/th_DoomDurability04537.jpg

And Storm's point-blank lightning strike has no effect on Doom's armor whatsoever, from Black Panther vol.4 #19:

http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Stats/th_DoomDurability05BP19.jpg

Trackz
do we know if BP was wearing the vibranium suit? It looked like he was wearing a more decorative version of his suit..i'm not sure though.

OneDumbG0
^ Hmmm. I assumed his standard suit contained vibranium. I always considered T'Challa to be a prepare-for-anything at-any-moment type of guy. After all, why wouldn't he use vibranium in all his suits? Wakanda's rich with it. But then again, it may not be true. I'll have to re-read to see if it's mentioned at all.

In the meantime, here's an old one-on-one fight with Human Torch that I never uploaded. Don't know why, maybe because I thought it was too short. Because basically, Johnny gets curbstomped by Doom.

Doom vs Human Torch, from Fantastic Four #318:

http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Fights/th_DoomvsHumanTorch01318.jpg http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Fights/th_DoomvsHumanTorch02.jpg http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Fights/th_DoomvsHumanTorch03.jpg

OneDumbG0
^ On review, I saw nothing that suggested Black Panther was prepared to take on Doom. Truly, a case of PIS. Because T'Challa and Doom both agree on how he would never agree to be recruited by Doom. And yet he shows up without his best suit? Stupid. For plot's sake. Which is what PIS is.

I've read Black Panther vol. 4 once through, and I don't remember any specific instance where he said he did, or didn't have, a vibranium enhanced suit as his base normal suit. Frankly, despite T'Challa's character of constant preparedness, unless someone has proof all his suits have vibranium lacing, than it's just a case of PIS on his part.

^ Thanks. Some more updates focusing on the Doom's genius:

INTELLIGENCE

Doom combines his genius in both magic and science to resurrect the Atlantean, Attuma, who had previously had his head torn off by Sentry years ago. Not only that, but he increases Attuma's strength to Namor's level and gives him the ability to fly and breathe on land, from Dark Reign: Made Men #1:

http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Inventions/th_DoomGenius10DarkReign-MadeMen1.jpg

Doom adds to his extensive knowledge by vivisecting Asgardians alive. A vile foray into knowledge that even Loki admits he has not explored. And within only a day or two, what is one of the first things Doom does with his newfound knowledge of Asgardian physiology? He creates cybernetic undead drones from their corpses with which to defend himself, from Thor #603-604:

DOOMBOTS

Doom adjusts and repurposes some old Doombot designs to act as assassins for Loki. Capable of wiping out entire divisions, notice that he is able to prevent them from being tracked both scientifically or magically, from Thor #603:

http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Inventions/th_DoomDrones21Thor603.jpg

Here, a special Doombot emits thousands of smaller energy-siphoning drones which leech off the Iron Patriot's energy levels within the space of several panels (notice also that the energy source is completely unidentifiable by his Starktech), from Siege: The Cabal #1:

Sentry didn't pwn him. Reread his shield were already at like 7%, he had already used some of his power on Strange, and Sentry caught him off guard at the last minute when he took the mask off. Earlier he was pwning Sentry which I believe he did twice. All Sentry did was take his mask off and Doom didn't want to fight. Doom hates showing his face so that was really a weakness he accidentally exploited

Dr. Doom's Doombot had a pretty decent showing in the latest issue of Thor, if someone wanted to scan it. It was able to stand up to him for a while.

OneDumbG0
^ Been working on a substantial update, but I suppose there's no need to wait to put it up. Here, a Doombot's managed to incur the wrath of Thor which was exactly Doom's plan all along. This one's far from over.

Doom(bot) vs Thor, from Thor #604-605

Rage.Of.Olympus
I thought from scan 1 to 6 that was the real Doom. From scan 7 to 8 that was a Doombot which was put in place after Thor left Doom alone and he disappeared. My reasons?

He wasn't goading like the Doombots and seemed to be the real Doom.

He wasn't connected to the power source in the lab, which all the Doombots so far in this story were highlighted to be.

Eh, hope the writer confirms it further.

Setting that aside, here is another update on some of Doom's inventions. Props to darthgoober for the first scan:

Got an update going on several areas, but let's start with the fights. Here, Doom confronts Thor with his unfinished version of the Destroyer armor which is powered by the immortal energies of slain Asgardians. Stripped from access to the energies by Balder's actions, Doom is soundly defeated...

Dr. Doom (w/ Destroyer Armor) vs Thor, from Thor #605-06:

... and teleported away by Loki, whose machinations, and likewise his powers, were beyond Doom's grasp. But Doom perseveres -- as it is revealed that Doom's studies extends now beyond those of Asgardian nature, to those descended of Frost Giants:

Soon afterwards, Doom is embroiled in the Fall of the Hulks... several times over. After the Cosmic Hulk robot is reactivated in its confrontation with the Red Hulk and A-Bomb, it ambushes Doom in Latveria. Eventually, Doom fights not just it... but Skaar, Bruce Banner and (as revealed) the Intelligencia.

Dr. Doom vs Hulk(s), from Fall of the Hulks: Red Hulk #1 and Incredible Hulk #606:

DOOM'S ARMOR

Doom's fight against the Hulk(s) also revealed a few things about Doom's formidable armor: (i) it's strength levels are enough to keep the Cosmic Hulk robot at bay; (ii) it's Personal Adaptors have no problems absorbing its cosmic energies; and (iii) it's capable of producing/simulating magnetism, from Incredible Hulk #606:

http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Stats/th_DoomStrength03IncredibleHulk606.jpg http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Inventions/th_DoomArmor62-PersonalAdaptersIncredi.jpg http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Inventions/th_DoomArmor63-Magnetism.jpg

SORCERY

The same fight also showcased Doom's ability to heal himself/mend his armor within seconds with his sorcery, from Incredible Hulk #606:

http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Stats/th_DoomSorcery30IncredibleHulk606.jpg

Doom's reputation in sorcery is recognized by Dracula, who recounts Doom's studies under Cagliostro, from Captain Britain and MI13 #11:

http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Stats/th_DoomRespect04CaptainBritain11-1.jpg

And his sorcery is reinforced by Doctor Strange, who admits that Doom knows dark arts even he isn't aware of, from New Avengers #51:

http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Stats/th_DoomSorcery29NewAvengers51-1.jpg

DOOMBOTS

Oh... and apparently his mastery of sorcery allow him to meld it with his robotics. Here, it's revealed that when Osborn turned on his Doombot in Siege: The Cabal #1, the Doombot attacked Taskmaster with a "standard plasma wakefield blast" combined with supernatural magic that completely lays Taskmaster out by attacking his spirit... A Doombot does this. From Avengers: The Initiative #31:

MadMadTitan
Awesome scans! Very detailed info. Thanks!

Blinky
That fight with cosmic-robot-hulk and Skaar was f*cking amazing... can't believe Doom tanked that whole beating and beat down Skaar like a wee-child. It took that many players to take him down... Doom has still got it.

Can't wait to see how else he falls in with this "Fall of the Hulks" buisness.

OneDumbG0
^ I also am eager to see how Fall of the Hulks and Doomwar plays out as well.

Now this update is more of a retrospective on a past fight I posted. These scans come from Doom's fight with Excalibur. I never really pointed out the impressive defenses his armor demonstrates here: (i) as Kitty painfully points out, Doom's armor can cancel Kitty's phasing and clock her; (ii) his armor's control over electromagnetic fields allows him to channel them and actually control Nightcrawler's teleportation (similar to how he manipulated Doctor Voodoo's magical teleportations); and (iii) his armor having analyzed Phoenix's brain wavelengths, he can easily subdue her with an encephalo-hologram, causing even a telepath of her power/skill to relive an endless fantasy loop, from Excalibur #37:

http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Inventions/th_DoomArmor36b-PhaseCancellationExcal.jpg http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Inventions/th_DoomArmor36d-TeleportChannelingExca.jpg http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Inventions/th_DoomArmor36c-EncephaloHolagramExcal.jpg

And here's the original fight:

http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Fights/th_DoomvsExcalibur01Excalibur37.jpg http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Fights/th_DoomvsExcalibur02.jpg http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Fights/th_DoomvsExcalibur03.jpg

KNOWLEDGE

It's been recently revealed that Doom had allied himself with a group of villainous super-geniuses, the Intelligencia. There one goal was to reunite the lost Library of Alexandria, a repository of ancient knowledge that spanned many disciplines, which ultimately fell into Doom's own hands, from Fall of the Hulks: Alpha #1:

http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Stats/th_DoomKnowledge15FallofTheHulksAlpha1.jpg

And as mentioned back on pg.1, Doom has his fingers on the pulse of the Marvel Universe. Here, Doom shows the Leader intercepted transmissions between Reed and Stark concerning their plans to shoot Hulk into space. Which means that Doom hacked into either (or both) Reed's communication systems, or SHIELD's communication systems while in their secretive Illuminati discussions, from Fall of the Hulks: Alpha #1:

http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Stats/th_DoomKnowledge16.jpg

And hacking's always easier when you have an entire spy system network, like Doom had in Wakanda. This allowed him to see everything, precipitate a revolution, insert a figurehead ruler and give him a chance to plunder Wakanda's vibranium stores, from Black Panther vol.5 #10 and 12:

http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Stats/th_DoomKnowledge17BP10.jpg http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Stats/th_DoomKnowledge18BP12.jpg

DOOM'S ARMOR

Here's another update on Doom's armor. It naturally contains armaments specifically suited for combatting the Fantastic Four. Against the elastic Reed Richards, he also has made use of a Disruption Charge which shatters the cohesion of Reed's molecular structure, reducing him to jelly, from Fantastic Four #246:

http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Inventions/th_DoomArmor33a-DisruptionCharge246.jpg

And against the Johnny Storm, he's used Flame Retardant Missiles which instantly snuff his flames, from Fantastic Four #289:

http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Inventions/th_DoomArmor35a-FlameRetardantMissi-1.jpg

Here, Doom's armor demonstrates the simulation of telekinetic abilities by snatching a globe from Kingpin's hand, from Punisher vol.2 #29:

http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Inventions/th_DoomArmor35b-TelekinesisPunisherv22.jpg

Doom's armor also houses scanners which can instantly give Doom raw data to repurpose exotic energies. One of the most famous instances of this is when he scans the Beyonder's energies and eventually fashions an Energy Absorption Module inside his breastplate to absorb the Beyonder's power, from Secret Wars #1 and 10:

http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Inventions/th_DoomArmor34a-ScannersSW1.jpg http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Inventions/th_DoomArmor35a-ScannersSW10.jpg

Here, his scanners instantly and accurately show that Johnny's flames are burning "17.23% hotter than usual" and that his "pyro-metabolic curves are out of control," from Fantastic Four vol.3 #54:

http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Inventions/th_DoomArmor46a-ScannersFFv354.jpg

Galan007
In the Doom/Skaar battle, did Doom use his magic to revert Skaar into a child?

OneDumbG0
^ Not sure. But every time Doom did use magic, he would speak in magical verses and he didn't really see magical verses when Skaar reverted. In my opinion, it was a combination of Doom channeling Cosmic Hulk/Rulk's powerful energies onto Skaar and exposing Skaar's psychological vulnerabilities (over his father) that made Skaar revert.

janus77

nope. the implication was that Skaar reverted upon seeing the dead body of the robot-Hulk.

Doom didn't attempt to resort to using magic until Banner stepped in and shut off Doom's tech, but by then the poison that The Leader had put into robot Hulk had already begun to make Doom forget his magical incantations.

OneDumbG0
I've got a load of updates. But let's first focus on a feat that is shared, but no less tremendous. In the final issues of Doctor Voodoo: Avenger of the Supernatural, Doctor Doom and Doctor Voodoo fight Nightmare's Army in Latveria, the only free place on Marvel Earth.

If you look closely, Nightmare's army includes nearly every magical and sorcerous character in Marvel, including the likes of, the Ghost Riders, Illyana Rasputin, Wiccan, Talisman, Doctor Druid, Blade, Man-Thing, Dracula (still alive???), Captain Britain, Black Knight and Jennifer Kale. This fight lasts days and between the two of them, they literally kill nearly all of them, from Doctor Voodoo: Avenger of the Supernatural #4-5

Here, Doctor Voodoo gets his rematch against Doom. It doesn't end well for Doom, who left himself defenseless against possession when he handed over his Personal Actuality Shield to defeat Nightmare in the first place. But Doom's word is as good as any as he vows they'll see each other again, soon.

OneDumbG0
DOOM'S INVENTIONS

As stated earlier, Dr. Doom has a special penchant for controlling other people. One of his earliest machines was the infamous Emotion Machine. During Reed Richards' and Sue Storm's marriage, villains from across the Marvel Universe and even its future were compelled to attack them, from Fantastic Four Annual #3:

http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Inventions/th_DoomDevice10-EmotionMachineFFAnnual.jpg

Seemingly dismissable as Silver Age nonsense, the Emotion Machine actually makes another appearance 25 years later in a tie-in to Acts of Vengeance. During several issues, the Fantastic Four are constantly attacked by more than a dozen random villains between Fantastic Four #334-36:

http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Inventions/th_DoomDevice36c-EmotionMachineFF33-1.jpg http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Inventions/th_DoomDevice36d-EmotionMachine-1.jpg

Doom's Energy Field Diverter proves that Doom's machines can absorb and channel exotic energies without needing to understand or analyze the energy beforehand. Here, it takes Spiderman's Unipower and amps Goliath, from Web of Spiderman #60:

http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Inventions/th_DoomDevice36b-EnergyFieldDiverte-1.jpg

In another callback to older machines, Doom invented the Liddleville Tech, which can hypnotize and entrap victims inside miniature replicas. It makes its first appearance in Fantastic Four #236:

http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Inventions/th_DoomDevice25-CityConstruct236.jpg

It reappears years later in X-Force #63, and most recently in Fall of the Hulks, it's used by the Intelligencia against none other than Doom himself, as shown in Hulk #20:

http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Inventions/th_DoomDevice42b-LiddlevilleTech.jpg http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Inventions/th_DoomDevice50-LiddevilleTechHulk20.jpg

OneDumbG0
DOOM'S ARMOR

While not ending well for him, Doom's rematch against Doctor Voodoo revealed additional abilities afforded to him through his armor: (i) he has a Personal Actuality Shield than protects him from Nightmare's magicks of the Unreal; (ii) he is able to convert matter to energy (even a living entity like Nightmare!); and (iii) his Personal Adapters are able to absorb the entirety of humanity's subconscious black energy, from Doctor Voodoo: Avenger of the Supernatural #5:

SORCERY

Doom's vast sorcerous knowledge is displayed during Doomwar: (i) when confronted by the tenth lock to Wakanda's entire vibranium store, Doom perceptively discerns that it involves alchemical symbols; and (ii) effortlessly conjures the correct spell, i.e., a blood sacrifice, from Doomwar #1:

http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Stats/th_DoomSorcery31-Doomwar1.jpg http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Stats/th_DoomSorcery32.jpg

During their battle with Nightmare's Army, Doctor Voodoo was waylaid by the Ghost Rider's Penance Stare. Doom then drags him to safety, (i) reversing its effects with his sorcery, and (ii) revealing that he protected the Book of the Vishanti. One can only guess how long he pried its secrets for, from Doctor Voodoo: Avenger of the Supernatural #5:

Doom's interest in the occult is further manifested by his use of nosferatu minions, who attack and overwhelm Rulk, from Fall of the Hulks: Red Hulk #2:

SamZED
Doom is such a jerk but what he did at the end of Doomwars 2 was so badass.

OneDumbG0
^ Doom is as Doom does. This latest fight is not a physical one, but one of pure strategy and wits. Here, Doom contends with T'Challa's final lock to Wakanda's entire Vibranium store. It is a puzzle: "Only through purity unencumbered by pretense may you pass." Time is running out, as the Dora Milaje, X-Men, Shuri and Black Panther begin overrunning the Desturi insurgents and Doombots. ^ I agree. Here's an update brought up from another thread. This should summarily dismiss any notions that Doom can be conveniently defined by his powerset. For in a fight with a foe who is by all rights, his equal in technology, it is the true Doom who proves to be more than a match for such an imposter even when the entire battlefield setting is against him. This should harken back (or forward, chronologically speaking) to Doom's duel with Reed w/ Doom's armor.

DOOM'S INVENTIONS

Doom's scientific acumen has produced several very helpful inventions. Here, when X-Force attempts to infiltrates Doom's castle, Nathaniel Richards reveals that an Ionic Field prevents teleportation into the castle, from X-Force #63:

http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Inventions/th_DoomDevice42a-IonicFieldX-Force6-1.jpg

The cornerstone of Doom's campaign against T'Challa and Wakanda were his Nanite Camera Swarms "-- each individual member contributing part of a larger picture that would transmit what they saw and heard." They were introduced into palace food and water supplies so that Doom could use T'Challa's own ruling administration as inadvertent spies. And even T'Challa's own scientific acumen isn't enough to thwart their infiltration, from Doomwar #3:

http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Inventions/th_DoomDevice49-NaniteCameraSwarmsD-1.jpg

DOOM'S DRONES

Doom isn't relegated to creating his own drones from scratch. He's also repurposed existing designs. Here, Doom repurposes a Super Adaptoid to fight the Fantastic Four, from Fantastic Four #336:

http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Inventions/th_DoomDrones20aFF336-1.jpg

His most recent repurposed design is the Destroyer Armor's, powered by the lifeforce of slain Asgardians. Although unfinished, it is still formidable enough to fight Thor, from Thor #605:

http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Inventions/th_DoomDrones25Thor605.jpg http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Inventions/th_DoomDrones26.jpg

It's now revealed how Doom passed through T'Challa's final lock to Wakanda's entire Vibranium store, "Only through purity unencumbered by pretense may you pass." Doom removes his armor and comes face to face with Bast, Cat God of Egypt, the Panther God. This isn't an encounter of fisticuffs, but of pure resolve.

KNOWLEDGE

The crisis building in Doomwar is the fear of what Doom can do with Wakandan Vibranium. Wakandan sorcerers could never figure out how to harness Vibranium into amplifying mystical energies which "taps into an energy flow on the quantum level that is virtually infinite." T'Challa believes that Doom has mastered the secret of using magically charged Vibranium, and he now has it all, from Doomwar #1:

http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Stats/th_DoomKnowledge20Doomwar1.jpg

Over in issues of X-Factor, Doom educates Layla Miller on how his technology records and analyzes the combat styles of his foes, from X-Factor #202:

http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Stats/th_DoomKnowledge21X-Factor202.jpg

But the real reason why Doom has Layla Miller in Latveria is to utilize her foreknowledge... which he has done so for an entire year, from X-Factor #202:

http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Stats/th_DoomKnowledge22.jpg

Which makes you wonder at the convenient timing with which Doom revealed his surveys into future timelines where Earth ends up in post-apocalyptic futures. Much like the post-apocalyptic future Layla was trapped in during her Summers Rebellion adventure, from Doomwar #3:

In World War Hulks, Doom struggles to free himself from Leaderville, a machine originally created by Doom and repurposed against him and the most intelligent men in the world, by the Intelligencia. DOOM'S ARMOR

Doom's armor has endless armaments. One of them includes his ability to project a cube of "ultra-dense molecular bonds, and constantly shifting field frequencies" which can contain even the elusive creature, Divinity, able to penetrate molecule-sized gaps and forcefields alike, from Heroes Reborn: Ashema #1:

http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Inventions/th_DoomArmor46-ForcefieldHeroesRebornA.jpg

As shown before, Doom's armor can also instantly teleport him. He makes use of that ability in Heroes Reborn: Ashema #1 and most recently in Doomwar #2:

http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Inventions/th_DoomArmor46-Teleportation.jpg http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Inventions/th_DoomArmor68-Teleportation.jpg

DOOM'S INVENTIONS

Doom's inventions obviously include machines which cripple other machines, such as his Electronics Jammer, from Punisher #29:

http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Inventions/th_DoomDevice36a-ElectronicsJammerPuni.jpg

And those Nanite Camera Swarms he used to precipitate Doomwar? He's used a variation of them before on the Counter-Earth that Franklin Richards created, to empower a normal human with the power to hurl lances of nuclear plasma, dubbing her Lancer, from Heroes Reborn: Doomsday #1:

http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Inventions/th_DoomDevice42b-NaniteEmpowermentHero.jpg

Naturally, the Nanites permitted Doom to actually view, examine and analyze everything his new minion experienced. But they also permitted Doom to project knowledge -- such as instantaneous understanding of the Atlan langauge -- into Lancer as well, from Heroes Reborn: Ashema #1:

DOOM'S DRONES

Iron Man: Legacy is a second ongoing series for Stark that chronicles his untold stories. They are canon. The first story-arc involves Doom repurposing Starktech to help him annex Transia some time in the past. By Stark's own words, "Some of these devices are barely out of the proof-of-concept stage. Some aren't even sketched in my notebooks," from Iron Man: Legacy #2-3. Several of Doom's Drones have Starktech capabilities, including:

(i) Brown Sound emitters which target sound frequencies higher than the human pain threshold;
(ii) Metal Tempest weapons which fire projectiles electrically to attain firing rates of one million rounds per minute;
(iii) Sonic Howitzers which concentrate bursts of 150 decibels;
(iv) Active Denial Systems which concentrates microwaves to penetrate even Stark's armor; and
(v) Autonomous Image Inducers which fool even Stark's sensors.

DOOM'S INVENTIONS

Here's an update on Doom's inventions. Since the Fantastic Four are Doom's arch-enemies, it stands to reason that he has more than a few stand-alone devices to neutralize their powers.

Against the entire Fantastic Four, he's used a Concussion Ray to take out the entire Fantastic Four team without much fuss, from Fantastic Four #288:

http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Inventions/th_DoomDevice30a-ConcussionRay288.jpg

Upon regaining conciousness, they are all entrapped in specific devices, including:

(i) a Plasteel Sphere which is porous enough for air, but not enough for Reed to stretch through or Wasp to shrink through;
(ii) an Energy Cage which is attuned to the specific frequency of Invisible Woman's forcefields;
(iii) an Inert Fluid Tank which permits Johnny Storm to breathe but prevents him from flaming on; and
(iv) a Molecular Chain Web which would pierce even She-Hulk's skin easily.

DOOM'S ARMOR
Quite impressive feat to produce power beyond Silver Surfer -Doom's own words- just by tech and sorcery. That is basically exactly what Doom states about his Vibranium Armor. It (i) literally connects him to every fragment of Wakandan Vibranium on Earth down to the atom, (ii) permits him a self-described power greater than Surfer's Power Cosmic and the Cosmic Cube, and (iii) allows him to manifest that power all over the Earth simultaneously and so violently, that the vast majority of the heroes of Earth can't even help T'Challa. From Doomwar #6:

http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Inventions/th_DoomArmor71-VibraniumArmorDoomwar6.jpg http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Inventions/th_DoomArmor72-VibraniumArmor.jpg http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Inventions/th_DoomArmor73-VibraniumArmor.jpg

DOOMBOTS

The Vibranium Armor was not the only thing he created with the Wakandan Vibranium. He also created a V-Series of Doombots. The V-Series Doombots were (a) extraordinarily durable and possessed Hulk-class strength, and (b) possessed telemetry that tied them to "a self-learning neural net." This made the next generation models more combat-effective, from Doomwar #4:

http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Inventions/th_DoomDoombot08Doomwar4.jpg http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Doom%20Inventions/th_DoomDoombot09.jpg

That adaptation telemetry is demonstrated over the last falf od Doomwar: (1) Shuri and her Dora Milaje begin using Vibranium-based weapons to take down one line of models; but in a subsequent battle (2) Storm starts likening their adaptation capabilities to that of Sentinels; and ultimately (3) Shuri and the Dora Milaje's vibranium suits and weapons end up being useless. Doom's the best. Reed Richards is a punk compared to him. He has mastered both tech, magic, and cosmic energies in a mix he uses to counter and face any sort of threat. I remember when he gained absolute power and gave it up cause there was no pleasure in being unchalleged at all. Stark has admitted more than once Doom's tech is far beyond his own. I don't have scan but I'd like to remind that during the Reign saga of Thor, soldiers sent on Asgard to place bombs in it arrived on the rainbow bridge thanks to Doom's teleportation devices which granted them to bypass the magical protection of the golden city and also catch Heimdall by surprise,

So Doom is somewhat responsible for Avengers: Disassembled?

One of Iron Man's old villains reconstructs Dr. Doom's Time Platform, using it to bring the Dark Phoenix to the present, where she destroys the Earth. The blast sends Stark throughout the past, close to pieces of the Time Platform which he'll need to assemble to return home. At one point, he meets up with the Johnny Storm of the past and encounters the creator of the Time Platform himself.

Well sure, now that they took the Beyonder from the Ultimate Cosmic Being ever, to just a mutant inhuman, Im sure thats true. stick out tongue Pre Retcon Beyonder would never have lost to such a grouping of heroes, heck, replace the heroes there with Cosmic Beings of the highest order and old school Beyonder still would have beaten them.

Magnon
Lol. These days Marvel keeps retconning their characters' power levels so often and so arbitrarily that there's no way to keep up with them. At the time of writing, it seems that

Mr. Sinister > Fulcrum/Tiamut

Hank Pym & Cassie > Life-Force Victor > Beyonder > Living Tribunal

Thing > Juggernaut

Zeus > Hulk > all

Trivia either vader or doom is inspired on the other according to source material. Think vader is inspired on doom design as that is likely more ancient.

Dr. Doom is also my fav ff4 character, and one of my all times faves in a sense he is simply a more realistic En Sabah Nur, Apocalypse.

Here, Bucky and Natasha seek to get inside of the Latverian Embassy to prevent a world war from breaking out, hoping to appeal to Doom's better nature.

It goes about as well as expected.

Some of the more noteworthy feats:
-Tracking characters across the globe by their auras alone.
-Casually busting through Strange's Crimson Bands of Cyttorak.
-Armor that adapts to attacks used against it.
