Yet again....
I keep going on that watchtvsitcoms website to watch weeds online since season 4 isnt out
anyways, most of the videos are clean but some end up giving me a damn virus or whatever it is.
Not even porn sites give me a virus... some bull
its probably malware or or trojans i have no clue, it wont let me change my background, it changed it to black
doesnt let me restart or turn off my comp either
anybody know?
The Grey Fox
Take it to a technician, last time my PC got a virus I did that, and it worked out alright.
Just make sure to delete all your porn beforehand, kind of embarassing.
Phucked Up
Don't go to that website.

Mairuzu
Obviously phucked up.... obviously and no i wont take it to a tech guy just yet.
Thats would be my last resort.
Piggle actually helped me last time, but that scan thing doesnt work for this virus anymore
Röland
First off, all porn sites give you some form of spyware and that can sometimes be the problem, not viruses.
Download and run this if you can.

Also run your virus scan.
Mairuzu
Okay, i ran 2 virus scans and it detected a lot but when it says to "restart computer to complete?" i click yes of course but its still there
ill try this tho, and yea its most likely spyware
howey mandell was talking on my comp when it started.... maybe i'll ask him
it turns off my firewall too thats how it got infected

Use MalwareBytes' Anti-Malware.
It's fast, efficient, uses low system resources, and most of all, FREE!!

I should know which is the best, cause I'm an IT student

Couldn't you just...turn it off at the plug?

I think the inability to turn off the PC isn't quite as bad as the rest of the symptoms his PC has.
Raoul
system restore. set it back till before you remember your pc going to hell. would probably do the trick...
Mairuzu
I can't find the CD it came with

its not on the cd... if you're using xp or vista, go to:
start > programs > accessories > system tools > system restore
its pretty handy...
Mairuzu

I hate those types of viruses. They are a pain in the @$$ to get rid off. After the last one I installed the Kaspersky anti virus and that program is the s**t! Havent had a virus since (knock on wood).
Mairuzu
i tried downloading that! But my damn virus prevents me from going to any sites that help me hahahaha its such bullshit
and ty kelly, hopefully i can go to that site
Mairuzu
Sigh, looks like i had to restart it all over. Now its time to download everything i had again
Kelly_Bean
No problem.
Did it not work?
Mairuzu
The virus prevents me from going to any site that can get rid of it
Kelly_Bean
Have you restarted your computer into ?
Mairuzu
I tried, doesn't work... so weird
my uncle is going to reformatting it
or whatever its called
Kelly_Bean
Sorry,
If I could think of any other remedies I would. I got lucky with Google on that one. I've had to reformat before as well. Are you getting to save your important files/folders on something or is that stuff unsaveable form your computer's condition?
Mairuzu
I don't have any, i just watch pr0n, youtube, and go on wow
NonSensi-Klown
Pray to your god.
Kelly_Bean
Well that's good.
I once lost quite a few hundred pictures that were important to me.
Tell us how it goes.
Mairuzu
Uncle is working on it now
The only problem is that I have to download all the patches on WoW again and then install wrath of the ***** king
Utrigita
You could just have run Superantispyware, combined with a combofix and perhaps a spysweeper I think that would have done the trick, but ofcause you would have to unplug yourself from the internet while doing it.

Reformat has been complete. The only problem now is, I can't hook up to the internet. My internet IS working but my computer won't go on. I don't have the CD that came with my DSL modem, brother lost it I guess... is there anything else i can do?
Utrigita
Contact the ones that are selling the internet to you, they are capable of entering your computer by the router and then tell you what needs to be done in order for the internet to work.
Kelly_Bean
Have you re-installed some virus and spyware programs as soon as the reformat was complete?
Da Pittman
Well if you can't connect to the Internet I don't think they can remote into your router as well. Since you can get on the net from somewhere else to post here you should be able to go to your ISP site and download their software from there and save it to a disk or USB drive and install it on your computer.
Mairuzu
Thanks for all the help guys.
Good news, i fixed the problem...
Bad news, i had to reformat it again and install vista this time. Internet works, speakers work, everything is fine. I'll miss you XP.
Kosta
Must have been a ***** of a virus if you had to format. Ouch
