When deidara saw Team Gai he said he would like to fight the byakugan and compare it to the sharingan.



who do you think would win


Neji the genius with the byakugan
or
Deidara who has an array of bombs and is a strategist



personally i think it would be another fight like kidomaru

Neji either speed blitzes or he loses. If Deidera gets into the air Neji loses.

I like Deidara, but I think Neji's Kaiten would be a major factor of the fight. Those clay bombs worked against Gaara's defense, but I think the byakugan is more effective in this situation.

I say Neji speed blitzes Deidara quickly and shuts down all of his chakra points. If Deidara gets on the bird before Neji does this, then I say Deidara wins, but I don't think he will, because of the byakugan.

yungz22, it could be another fight like him and kido, but his byakugan is more developed then it was with kido.

... If Sasuke couldn't even speedblitz Deidara (while Tobi distracted him), Neji has no chance of speedblitzing Deidara.

Deidara curbstomps Neji.

This wouldn't be anything like Kido, exploding bombs > little bugs, Disintegrating Bombs > Arrows, Deidara has bombs that can take out a huuge radius, Sasuke would've died if it weren't for Manda.

Sasuke is faar superior then Neji.

Neji's speed is overrated.

People assume that because he>Lee, he must be faster.

it could go ether way..but neji can't speedblitz deidara..that will never happen seing how even sasuke can't do that..

No it doesn't.

Neji's attacks are more devastating, his defense is nigh impregnable, he can predict attacks much better, he has more talent, but he has not shown he is as fast as Lee. At least not in movement speed, which plays an active role in Rock Lee's Taijutsu.

Byakugan doesn't allow the user to predict attacks. Byakugan is nothing more than a glorified X-Ray vision; only the Sharingan can predict attacks. All of his attacks and ultimate defense require him to move and are not instantaneous. In order to use them he would at the least have to have reflexes on par with Rock Lee's speed, otherwise he could be blitzed before he could even use Kaiten. In a flashback we see that Rock Lee can't keep up with Neji's punches.

If Rock Lee was fast enough to outspeed him he wouldn't have needed to train in the gates.

Yes it does, all the Sharingan has is an enhanced perception of things and the ability to see chakra that allow it to predict attacks, Byakugan has both of those but better. His attacks require him to barely have to move, and his attacks, taps, are by very definition quicker to pull off than a punch. His Byakugan along with his reflexes allow him to react. And in said flashback, that was Lee before his intense training with Gai, that was shit Lee.

He is faster, but Neji is overall greater.

Neji has impressive reflexes yeah, but to speedblitz Deidara he would need movement speed, which he lacks.

that was before lee even got the green suit lee had only just learned how to open the gates at the beginning of the chunnin exam thats why neji looked so surprised when he saw the hidden lotus


there is a diffrence between striking speed and foot speed


lee has better foot speed
neji due to the 64 palms thing neji has better striking speed

Well lets not forget that Neji has a powerful ranged attack in the form of his Eight Trigrams Empty Palm. The Chakra blast attack.

Neji>>>Lee for a few reasons

1. Neji is more skilled
2. Neji will be able to see all of lee's moves.
3. It takes time to open the gates, by then, Neji would have used 8 trigrams 64 palms, and end the fight.
