Why are there Xmas commercials on when it isn't even Turkey Day yet?

I just saw that Hershey's Kisses commercial on TV where the candies play "We wish you a Merry Christmas" a la bells. Why? It isn't even Turkey Day yet. I'm actually hearing Xmas music on the radio when I'm on the road in my beer truck. Again, why?

Nov. 3rd was the first one I saw. T'was a Walmart commercial.

Last quarter of the year is Holiday time, in which they just throw every commercial of every holiday at you.

$$$$$

Because people suck.

We got in Christmas stuff at work like the day before Halloween ermm

OMG! Stop raping the holidays!

It's called a bad economy. Start early and hope us (Big business) can possibly make money and not end up like Circuit City.

What happened to Circuit City?

Why do people ask this question every year? LOL

Co-signed. It's the exact same thing every year. Here's a Dino Comic to help us put it in perspective:

In any case, it's just good marketing. You can't market Christmas 3-4 weeks prior to Christmas. You have to start marketing 3-4 weeks prior to when people start preparing for Christmas. Which is the day after T-Giving. So, naturally enough, we see the ads, commercials, music, hype, etc. now. I'd be shocked, and a bit disappointed in the intelligence of our collective marketing industry, if that wasn't the case.

I don't watch TV.
