prow-gress or prah-gress

I was thinking, how do you pronounce it? I pronounce it both of those ways.

Australia, America etc. probably pronounce it a completely different way than the two I said.

Because I'm hooked on phonics.

EDIT: Actually, now that I think about it. I use both iterations, depending on how I use the word.
