No. Iron Man's armor is a trillion times more advanced and futuristic in the comics. If anything, his armor was too primitive.

Suspension of disbelief does wonders when going to see a sci-fi/fantasy movie.

Some people have nothing better to think about?! sooo deep, it's a bloody science FICTION movie...

The concept is futuristic in itself, why not push it as far as it can go? Besides, like the other poster said, comics Ironman has armor that ridiculously advanced compared to the film.

What are we talking about? The heads-up display in the helmet w/ labels and everything(Terminator-esque)?

I liked it though, thought it was pretty well portrayed, and not overly overdone.
