we know Thanos tasted 3 levels of omnipotence (minor omnipotence : powered by cosmic cube, major omnipotence : IG, total omnipotence : THOTU)


which one of these versions could destroy Cap's shield?

and with the Infinity Gauntlet we know he breaks it without effort but if he didnt have the complete set, which gems are enough?



levels of omnipotence :

- cosmic cube : yes he could (without effort, just like with IG)

- IG : yes (done)

- THOTU : yes obviously (without even thinking about it )



now with incomplete set of gems :

- reality gem : yes (without effort, like with IG : he just makes himself strong enough)

- power gem : maybe (but it won't be easy)

- space gem : maybe (can he distort space so it "compresses" the shield?)



not sure about the other gems but maybe a combo of the others??

All 3 of your suggestions are good, regarding the gems that is.

I'm not too sure about power gem tho cause I don't remember exacly what it does : it only boost stats of the owner and also boost the power of other gems right? it doesnt give "new" powers


for example IG without power gem should still make owner almost omnipotent right?

Unfortunately the gems rely on the power gem to perform feats on a grand scale I believe.

I remember that Thor was able to put a dent in caps shield when he hit with his hammer, dunno if the gems are stronger than thors hammer

none of them on their own would work.

IMO with reality gem it shouldnt be too hard


how about time gem?
even on caps shield the atoms must have limited lifespan so they shoud decay after some time, so what if time is accelrated like a gazillion times...? (unless caps shield is special and doesnt obey laws of physics but iirc it's not mystical like ebony blade or mjolnir, its just alloy of natural substances so I dunno...)

Soul gem : no effect
Ego gem : no effect
Space gem : send shield to a black hole
Time gem : send shield to big bang
Reality gem : distort reality centered on shield that the shield has durability of peanut brittle
Mind gem : no effect
Power gem : strength enough to find the shields breaking point

Power Gem: Punch
Mind Gem: Thanos forces it to self destruct
Ego Gem: He drops Ego on it
Space Gem: He throws a black hole at it
Soul Gem: He soul sucks it. Everyone knows that Cap's shield is only unbreakable with its soul intact
Reality Gem: He makes it fact that Cap's shield is made out of glass
Time Gem: He ages the shield so that it reaches its midlife crisis. It falls apart automatically after that
