Do my eyes deceive me? Another Hunter x Hunter fan?! New Year indeed.
Anyway,
Kenshin. Guts is very capable, but from what I've read he's never fought anyone that I'd put in Kenshin's league as far as skill is involved. Guts will be hard to take down though, Kenshin will have to be on overkill to get anywhere. I say
7-8/10 in Kenshin's favor, as far as I'm concerned.
have you guys seen the stuff Guts has been pulling off since after the anime? he killed 100 fully armored mercenaries when he was 18 and wounded. since then he's only gotten stronger. and from what he's done in the Tower of Albion arc, makes me put Guts a little above Kenshin in terms of sword play and power. no denying that Kenshin is a beast but Guts almost NEVER fights one on one but whole hordes of demons and zombies and monsters on his own. in Tower of Albion, he fought 5 topclass torturers on his own who were shooting arrows at him, trying to crush him with giant discs, hitting him with spears and lances and god knows what else.....all at once. and he killed them all.
I'd say Guts wins 6/10.
but if its the anime guts, then 5/10 or 5.5/10 in Kenshin's favor.
I never seen the anime, but Gutts from the manga isn't on the same level as Kenshin--mainly due to speed. Kenshin, with the reversed blade reacted fast enough to cut a clay-cannon ball in two (same velocity as regular cannon balls). And if you watch his battle against Sosuke you see that Kenshin could easily dodge all strikes without effort.
Kenshins only advantage is speed and Gutts is fast himself. He takes it: 8/10

P.S. emperor, is Berserk on haitus again?
Gutts might take a win or two if he can suprise Kenshin with his cannon and that's a big if considering Kenshin's reflexes. While Gutts is very fast the top tiers of the RK verse make him look slow. Gutts is gonna take a while to put down because of his insane durability but Kenshin takes this match.
dude, what makes you think guts won't just cut Kenshin and his sword in half with his first swing? he's done it several times before. not to mention the fact that Guts has been insanely fast in both moving as well as striking velocity. he took down an entire platoon of Kushan soldiers on is own without breaking a sweat. like i said, Guts almost ALWAYS fights in handicap situations, often at ridiculous odds (100:1 at the age of 18).
the way i see it:
-power=guts
-stamina=guts
-durability=guts
-speed=for sake of argument, Kenshin though not by much
-feats=guts
Guts wins 6/10
To the chapter where humans and demons fight under Griffith to defeat the Kushan king--basically as far as far as the manga has gone (chapter 301 I think).

Power = Kenshin (clean sweeping rocks, trees, multiple armored soldiers, etc.)
Strength = Gutts
Stamina = Draw, slight edge to Gutts?
Endurance/durability = Kenshin (can take punches which can pulverize rocks) without armor of any sort.
Reaction speed = Kenshin
Movement speed = Kenshin
Techniques = Kenshin
And I don't see how you can think that Kenshin is given the slight edge in speed, when he killed a room full of soldiers prepared for him before they even realized that he was entering.

Guts will never be able to hit Kenshin with his sword. What good is power of you can't touch your opponent? Also I know he killed 100 men by himself but those guys had speed and skill way below Kenshin.

Gutts can cut through a mass as hard as a diamond in a single blow, how does Kenshin have more power?
