List some movies that you didn't care for when you first saw them, but enjoyed the second time around.

DucLangur
I would have to say

Casablanca
Fargo
Dogeball
2001: A Space Odyssey

I know the movie genres are pretty broad, but those are the ones I can think of right now,

I still have trouble understanding 2001, but the second time I watched I was alot older, so the subject matter was more interesting, hence I enjoyed it more smile

jaden101
the two towers
the sun (film about emperor hirohito)
daywatch

DeVi| D0do
Hated Brick the first time I saw it... Watched it again the next day and absolutely loved it. I think it just didn't click with me the first time...

fruits
Definitely Fargo. Wasn't sure what to expect the first time I saw it, and was disappointed, then went back and watched it two more times, took it for what it is, and now I really love this movie.

Selphie
I Heart Huckabees

Thats what comes off at the top of my head right now. It seemed very long when I first watched it, and I ended up passing out while watching it. Then about a year later, I watched it again, and enjoyed it a lot more.

Apocalypse Now
Memphis Belle

Napoleon Dynamite

batmanfan136
shaun of the dead

Slay
Scarface

Toku King
"L.A. Confidential" tops it for me. Another one is "Dodgeball".

max payne. saw it in the theaters the first time and didn't like it too much. was forced to go see it again and liked it. the dvd comes out tomorrow so may rent it to see what's up

ThunderGodEneru
Hunchback of Notredame(yes I watch Disney Movies, wanna fight about it?)

dadudemon
I wouldn't say I didn't like it, because I liked it a bunch the first time I saw it.

I liked The Incredible Hulk much more the second time around. The theater really can make an incredible difference.

MildPossession
The only one I can think of is 28 Days Later. Couldn't stand it the first time I saw it.

reggaeuplifts
Napoleon Dynamite!

The first time I saw it I thought it was weird...but the second time it was awesome and I could enjoy the dry comedy a lot more.

Definitely agreed, but I loved it to begin with

Every time I watch this movie, I notice something new and hilarious I didn't notice before, love it love it love it

Walker.I
Garden State, I said I loved it because I was expecting so much and felt let down and didn't like that, but I watched it again because I felt like I had to or something and then I really did love it. The second time around was amazing.

Kill Bill

Myth
40 Year Old Virgin
Zoolander

SnakeEyes
Sin City for me. I saw this when it was in theaters and had no idea what to expect/had no knowledge of what the graphic novels were like. Needless to say I didn't enjoy it the first time. Then, in between my first and second viewings, I read some of the graphic novels and familiarized myself a bit more with Miller's work. Enjoyed it a lot the second time and everytime since then.

To be honest: The Matrix.

When I first saw it I wasn't interested at all so I think I didn't pay much attention to the plot. I re-watched it and gave more thought to the story and enjoyed it.

Then the sequels came out and ruined everything lol.

Wolfie
Half Baked
Independence Day

Sado22
Me, Myself and Irene. i found it boring the first time but laughed my ass off the second time. Same with Tropic Thunder.

SuperkatmanX
Balls of fury

Bicnarok

soulkat9
The Big Lebowski

supersyd
Once Upon a Time in Mexico. I just didn't know how to react to the film when I saw it the first time (in the theater), but since then, it has really grown on me.

Also, although I never DISliked it, I just have to say that I love TDK more and more with each viewing.

Sado22
once upon a time in mexico was a nice movie. i really liked Banderas' perforamnce in that one.

Banderas, Johnny Depp, Danny Trejo... Everyone in the movie is pretty much awesome. Willem Dafoe, though? Not so sure about that...

Sado22
yeah, they all were excellent. the movie just had a feel to it that was hard to explain but whatever it was, it made the movie very enjoyable and pleasing. probably its the way everything was wrapped up in the end without loose ends and how El's character was given more dimensions then just the cool guitar player with amazing marksmanship.

9/10 anyday in the week.

Daft Ada
The Business. I just couldn't get into the first time. Yet, when I re-watched it I found it to be a very entertaining movie. The 80's soundtrack helped!

niraka
Casino Royal
saw it, not bad, watched it again with my friend, awesome

SnakeEyes
Bump.

I guess Ravenous would be another for me. I was way too young the first time I saw this to understand what it was going for; watched it again recently and loved it, because I actually understood it.

K.Diddy
beer The Matrix

WanderingDroid
28 Days Later.....Yeah RIGHT! That movie sucks elephants balls.

I'd go with Nacho Libre....but only if you really bore and have nothing important to do but to watch tv all day.

-Pr-
i really liked 28 Days Later...

Sadako of Girth
Two girls and one cup.

Mr. Rhythmic
"Iron Man 2".

I know I have seen some movies before where I did not like them the first time but liked them the second time around but for the life of me,I cant remember what they were.I do know however that my older sister when the original Star Wars movie came out in 77 she loved that movie so much that like millions, she went back and saw it at least a dozen times. But when Empire Strikes Back came out in 80 according to my older brother who also saw Star Wars dozens of times back then and loved Empire Strikes Back equally as much and what my sister told us over the years, she didnt like Empire Strikes Back at all back then. She didnt think it was anywhere near as good as the original Star Wars.

About five years ago though I was at her house with some of her friends who all liked the original star wars movies though and we all watched the new version released in 97 that has added scenes in them and after Empire was over, seeing it for the second time, she said-I liked it a lot better than I remember liking it the first time I saw when it first came out.
