Actually judging from the page in the first post, Liefied looks like he's improving.....very, very slowly.

Loeb, on the other hand.......How can a guy who wrote such great Batman: Long Halloween and Batman: Hush go to such craptastic works like his Ultimates run or this Parody.

Yep,the entire product can most definitely be judged by one page,and this is obviously a completely serious project,without any traces of tongue in cheek humor.

I think so. Operation: Rebirth was the project by which the Red Skull and Sharon Carter resurrected Cap after he died by SSS poisoning. Cap was drained of all his poisoned blood and given a transfusion from the Red Skull who (at the time) was in a body cloned from Cap and had the SSS.

and loeb and his hulk fantasy will make this one funny ass comic imo, someone needs to scan every comic in the series and post it here for like... comedy friday or something.

wouldn't it be funny if 30 years from now, Marvel went out of business and Hulk is no longer in publication but Smash becomes a huge hit and is made into movies and games...

Marvel noticed these extremely small almost nonexistent similarities and made a deal with them that Freedom Fighter could not throw his shield like Captain America.

(spidey web swinging in those now iconic contortionist positions and todd changed the costume a bit iirc, he added more detail)

but i digress, he created venom who is a pretty cool character right before him and his buddies created marvel, and remember in those days all of the image guys were pioneering that edgy, combat hardened style. and it was selling comics like lemon-aid during a heatwave.
i guess todd felt that he should have held on to venom in hindsight since he is so popular, so the next best thing is to imitate your own I.P.

having to imitate your own creation suck ass.
