Would it be tacky and redundant, then, if I were to buy her red ones for Valentines Day? Like, the same gift two times in a row?

yes, sort of. Girls (generally speaking) are big fans of creativity. They don't mind conventional gifts once, but a repetition would probably not be appreciated, it does depend upon the person however.
