I think since his miniseries, Ares has looked & acted like Statham. He looks like he speaks threats in a soft, gravely hiss - very Transporter like.

i say johnny messner because he has a deep voice

who ever is going to play ares need to have a strong male secondary sex characteristic such has deep voice , body hair, and square jaw.
