Sith - Dooku, Maul, and Ventress

Each battle is separate. Everyone is at full strength for each battle.

Who will win?

I would side with

for sabers,
the Sith team takes Sidious,
but
Palpatine kills the Jedi.

Force,
Sith/Palpatine is close. Dooku was strong, but he was in awe of Sidious even during the Clone wars. Ventress would be a non-issue and I'm leery of taking Maul's one Force accolade (something like "wizard with the Force" and pitting it against Palpatine.

*Note: these are all 1st impressions. Proof either way would be greatly appreciated.

Sith=death

Ventress then Maul... dooku disappears under mysterious circumstances.

Based on what? Caedus, who was described throughout Legacy of the Force to be "second only" to Luke himself was also stated to only have more power than Vader at his height.



Yeah, tell that to Masters Fisto, Tin, and Kolar. Windu was more than a match for Sidious in a lightsaber duel, but it didn't prevent Sidious from killing the extra baggage. Even if I were to concede Kyp being on par with Sidious, I would remind you that Sidious is also far more skilled and experienced. Kyle and Jaina are relative neophytes (Jaina herself admits in Invincible that there were "many" Jedi Masters whose Force powers exceed her own).

They'd get crushed and knocked aside, allowing Sidious to take on Kyp. The only way the Jedi would win is if Kyp could utilize those precious few moments to defeat Sidious, which is possible.

But if we dictate this on the merit of strength, Sidious takes it.

But he was actively using the Force throughout his years as Senator and Chancellor (i.e. Sith rituals portrayed in Sithisis, his training of Count Dooku, and constant meditation in the dark side of the Force).

I agree with you. Kyp would have to act very fast to make sure one of his weaker partners were not quickly dispatched, because if he loses them, hes done for.

Were the scenario that the trio knew what Sidious was capable of before hand, although I guess they should already have knowladge of him, then Kyp would need to be ready for anything in the beginning and not give Palpatine any time to incapacitate anyone.

That was dumb. I thought this was DE Sidious.

I'll point out that Vader was 80% as powerful overall as OT Sidious; that should put him very close to RotS Sidious.

Well, I guess with the trios prior knowladge of Sidious(however limited it may be) should atleast know not to underestimate him at any cost, they would be on their guard instantly. While Palpatine wouldn't know anything of them, and could severly underestimate the force titan Kyp Durron.

You're delving into the territory of speculating what Sidious may think. You have no way to corroborate that. Based on feats and narrative, Sidious enjoys a considerable Force advantage over Jaina and Kyle, and no one has substantiated the idea that Kyp can beat him.

His only real chance is to defeat him when he's crushing Jaina or Kyle. He's not going to overcome Palpatine strength-to-strength.

Are you refering to the post I made at the same time as you?

I'm just assuming he woudn't know anything about the Jedi from the future.

As some of you guys love to ignore, the movies quite effectively establish the RotS power houses to be street level Force Users. Yoda, the most powerful Jedi of the era, literally struggles with low end telekinesis throughout the movies, and Sidious is later established to be within the same power level when they both effectively stalemate each other.

Extremely powerful for their time, sure, but comparing them to somebody like Kyp, an absolute titan who has displayed the ability to manipulate the gravity of several Dovin Bazils (the gravity of which was capable of dragging a moon out of its orbit) at once really isn't a good comparison. By all available evidence, Kyp absolutely destroys Sidious in a direct Force contest, "strength-to-strength."

Caedus, who again, is established as second only amongst the Jedi to Luke Skywalker (i.e. more powerful than Kyp), was only established at his peak as having powers that "surpass even his grandfather, Darth Vader," found himself incapable of using telekinesis to raise a command chair Luke had damaged.

Guess he must be weaker than Kyp.
