I really dont know how much time he has spent on earth as opposed to Asgard. Do you?

by no cosmic entities you mean no heralds? or abstracts because surfer/gl is an awesome amalgam
ThunderGodEneru
Thor, Superman, Strange, meh, there are a few around the same level.

He's an Avenger. He fights most of his battles on Earth. That makes him Earth-based. A non-Earth based hero would be...Silver Surfer. Or probably even current Kyle Rayner.

Thor does not fight most of his battles on earth.

Ok fair enough. Most of Black Bolts comic fights have probably come on earth too, I was just wondering if we could include him also.

Well, that's a good question. But I mean, currently his home's on Hala...160,000+ lightyears from Earth...
tkitna
True, but I wonder what Thor would say if somebody asked him where his home was?
psycho gundam
blackbolt and all the inhumans are from earth originally, so technically he's an earthling. but he doesn't fight for the human race as normal heroes do.
quanchi112
I'm leaving sorcerers out of this list. Sentry and Thor stand out to me followed by the Hulk. On the dc side I'd say Black Adam, Superman, and Firestorm.

Interesting choices. Nate Grey I like. I wouldn't call Genis Earth-based. And Zemo did die a hero. Forgot that. But both are dead now, so...

If 'abstract-level' was your qualification, why didn't you just put Batman?

Thor's Mamma is Mother Nature herself. I think that gets him a spot on an Earth based list.
SIAFON
The Silver Surfer, The Sentry, and Thor in Marvel
Superman, The Man of Steel, and The Last Son of Krypton in DC...
What, their the same? I, I didn't know. Then I don't have a clue who it is in DC, but I know Superman is up there somewhere.

God-Spawn could. Then again, he's not DC or Marvel and shouldn't be included in this list.

I concur.
But it's more like a stalemate if Spectre is merged with his true power (Logoz)

Oh, man...how'd we leave him out of this? Bone Claw Wolverine cut Mephisto and made him bleed...twice! While he was amped with thousands of new souls from a fresh universe, even!
He'd definitely kick Spectre or Superman's ass.

Superman dons the Cosmic armor to beat The Spectre if the writers feel like he should beat him.
But in a forum match, these characters fight with their full capacities.
The Spectre does to Supes what he did to SHAZAM, and then some.

But Iceman is an Omega level mutant so he is pretty powerful especially compare to his early showings.

imo thor can still use the "durok dropper" on bobby, and banishing him to some pocket dimension is still available to him.
and the odinforce should grant thor many more creative avenues to dispose of the iceman, presumable when trains himself in it's possibilities.
