Real Logic/Physics

vs

Comic Logic/Physics

Is it ok to compare and use a valid argument in a debates

please discuss.

Starscream M
no. because comic writers don't take real physics/science/logic into account. some do, sometimes. but there is no consistency to it so real physics/logic should generally be discarded in comics discussions.

When you close a boom tube with bare hands there is no logic.

You wanna back that up by stating the properties of a boom tube that wouldn't allow it to be closed that way?

no expression

Lord Feron
Real world logic and science should never be applied to Comic world. Comics anything is made up, anything can be possible not so much with the real world.

You can't close it.

Besides holding a Black hole in your hand?? Or holding tectonic plates?

You can use logic sometimes. But of course lots of people will be like well no don't do that b/c it's a comic. the thing is the writers often use logic. They just randomly sometimes like to defy that logic with insane crap. But science for the most part no. People can't physically punch through dimensional walls, a person can't fly 3x the speed of light, and so on and so forth.

Why not?

Yes it is, because comics follow our world, so they're obviously OK to compare.

Xplosive
There are real beings in existence powerful as those portrayed in comics and God is an absolute. Humans are bound to physical laws known to us, but more powerful beings as demigods are above those laws.
Living Tribunal is similar and seems to be portrayed after real being, demigod Lord Brahma, the most powerful demigod after Shiva, who appears to have limitless reality manipulation, alteration.

logic is a universal concept, imo, so i really don't think that comic logic and real world logic are really correct terms.

as far as physics goes, unless it's been stated in the comic as being different, physics are as they are in the real world.

So you're actually saying that it is physically possible if you can apply the appropriate force.

smile

shiv
A boom tube is programmed to self close

Trying to close it is redundant. You can try to prevent the passage of materials Through it. That would be more productive. And Logical.
