AlmightyKfish
Ares kicks the crap out of Cage.

StiltmanFTW
God of War

Survivor19
God of War.

Phantom Zone
Ares im afraid.

golem370
Ares grabs him by the scruff of the neck and then boots his anus down the street

guy222
Ares

nimbus006
G.o.W

KingD19
Luke Cage...loses.

shiv
Srsly Ares Marvel is Weak. Beast, Punisher or Wolverine could solo him w/ease

Luke Cage loses after a short fight. Ares fires a trick gas arrow f.t.w.

KingD19
Marvel Ares is Class 70, but he has feats showing him higher than that.

Cage is somewhere between the 25 and 30 ton range.(Spec)

In a pure fight, Ares wins, in a dirty fight, Ares wins.

You start your argument by saying Ares is weak.

Then you end it by saying Ares wins with ease.

I don't understand. confused

Lets just say he's not the sharpest cookie in the jar. If someone with the intelligence of Black Widow/Nick Fury was Ares it would be spite to put Luke Cage in a vs with Ares.

However No matter how 'slow' Ares is sooner or later he's going to snap out of the CIS and end the fight.

KingD19
His intelligence has nothing to do with his durability and strength vs Cage's, take a look at all of Hulk's fights. He's basically an autistic child who can toss a bus like a javelin. Intelligence is a non factor in a straight brawl, plus Ares is a much better fighter. His strength class dwarfs Cages by a good 40 tons, Cage loses, pretty quickly.

shiv
IMO guys like Cage, Grimm, Goliath etc ought to be easy fights for Ares.

Trickier opponents like Nightcrawler, Cap, Gambit, Hawkeye -Clint-, Fury could claim a Healthy win percentage against Ares.

KingD19
Cage = Easy, Thing = Probable win, but not easy, Goliath= Not sure.j
Nightcrawler = Ares loses, Cap = Ares loses, Gambit = Ares loses, Hawkeye = Not sure.

Gambit?

shiv
Bloodlusted Goliath = Ares gets ground under a bootheel.

KingD19
Yep, Gambit can't beat him physically, but he's a lot faster. I say he gets in close, charges his clothes with as much energy as he can dump into them, the gets back and watches the fireworks.

AlmightyKfish
Why is everyone underrating Ares so much?

War Machine couldn't beat him, why would half the people who are being listed here have even a chance?

KingD19
Because, people like that tend to win more often than they should, like Squirrel Girl.

AlmightyKfish

Squirrel Girl is a cosmic entity.

She wins because beating her is like dividing by 0. It can't be done.

golem370
Thing would kick Ares' anus to

Newjak
I think people need to re-read Ares' mini.

He beats the hell outta everyone listed in this thread so far.

ankur29
is luke cage more durable than ares?
is ares durability = durability to thor/hercules?

in ares mini he his hurt by bullets, so was early thor

whats up with depiction of gods in marvel? they are pretty low down the power hierachy

KingD19
Cage is moer durable to piercing damage, since his skin is like titanium, while Ares just has harder skin than normal.

Are is less durable than both Thor and Hercules. Remember, Hercules is the strongest greek deity, even though he's only a demi-god, he's stronger than Zeus before he uses his powers to amp himself. And Class Thor and Current Thor are stronger than more durable than Ares.

Ares, 10/10

HumbleServant
Who wins currently?

Stoic
Nothing's changed. Ares would win. Did you ever see what the Wrecker did to Cage?

HumbleServant
What did he do? And havent both of them got more feats?

StiltmanFTW
Already happened.

Poor Ares had to go defensive and try to block Cage's mighty fists with his puny little sword.

HumbleServant
What comic?

StiltmanFTW
Avengers/Invaders series.

Booya_69
Ares for the majority.

Colossus>ares>Cage

lawest9
Ares after a better than you expected fight.

Luke Cage was by far the most impressive under Bendis with his black-men fetish, but he respected Ares way more.

Luke has no chance.

StiltmanFTW
^ That's nothing but a meaningless lip service moment, considering his actual feat catalogue.

And you know it.

HumbleServant
How strong is Ares and Luke Cage? I think Ares is the better fighter.

Proceeded to tank multiple attacks from Ultron unharmed. The same attacks were powerful enough to affect the Sentry.

It's funny how Bendis re-introduced Ares in Mighty Avengers in such epic fashion... only to stop caring about him completely shortly afterwards.

Rage.Of.Olympus
You'll like this Stilt, Ares can go full Wolverine-ninja mode if needed:

That isn't true.

Ares was left a mess by Ultron. Sentry tanked them, but Ares was getting hurt badly.

Rage lives in a fantasy world, where everything... every caption box, every statement, every panel... is a feat for Asgardians and Olympians... even the anti-feats and comic covers vin
