I should evacuate before a bunch of literal-minded folks come in here preaching about how RotJ Luke is better than Vader, and then stretch that definition to including equal to or slightly lesser than Sidious, and so on, so forth down the line through to Adam.

No one should say Luke is better than Vader but when using aggression he is strong and skilled enough to one give Vader a scared or even defeat him. As the novel stated Vader saw that his son might be able to defeat him.

You as many others take to much away from Luke at this time.

The rookie Jedi who swings his lightsaber like a street-roaming thug VS. the man who whooped the ass of a (as DARTH POWER likes to point out) master of Djem So Chosen One who can only beat Dooku when he's using the Dark Side.
