ok, so the way i see it, gamora has pretty much your basic meta human , her skill and deadliness however is so far beyond any other character with her stats that she can take on and even scare beings like thanos, also posesses a god killing blade.

which martial art/assasin/predominantly skill based character can defeat her?

Karate Kid - by far the most impressive martial artist.

I would say the skill of WW and gamora would be close but that wouldn't be why Gamora would lose. WW other stats would do that.

Well, with his current skills I doubt Tasky could, as Gamora is on that level where martial arts let you take on high heralds. I mean, if Tasky fully utilised all his skills ( basically every good fighting technique on Earth)he might be able to hold his own for awhile, btu Gamora would still beat him.

I'd give current Drax a nod, but usuing skill I doubt he'd be able to match her. Same with most MA's, in pure skill Gamora would demolish them

Majestic is pretty Skilled, that, combined with his Superman level stats and various weaponry would be more than enough to stop her.

Or is that just overkill? ... How strong is Gamora anyway?

Not even then. She's got great superspeed, H2H and otherwise. And sure, he can duplicate a form of superspeed, but only for a few moments. Plus the healing factor and insane strength (for a mid-meta or so).
