Reggae + Nu Metal = Godly. Yeah, Skindred are definitely good. Heard about them recently too. One of few bands worth mentioning to come out of Wales.

Gojira is a band I just recently discovered. Awesome tracks from The Ways of all Flesh.

How modern?

If we are talking 21st century (or more to the point 2000 onwards) than the following bands I'd rate:

Erm I don't really rate any, for me the last Metal band worth really harping on about was Mastodon and they were formed in 1999.

Anyone have some suggestions for a current NON screamo metal band? I've really been trying to find some metal but the only bands i come across are either screamo or the lead singer sings with a high-pitched, whiny voice.
