Besides super-strength Herc has super reflexes, super experience, super durability, super speech, super badassness and super ventriloquism.

Herc uses his best weapon on Valkyrie after he wins.

She IS more versatile than Herc on average is, true that.

On average, Herc just carries his mace or nothing (classic incarnation, at least).

But Val? Spear, sword, flying horse... and pressure points knowledge.

Exactly. I was a huge OG Defenders fanboy from an early age. In fact it was the first stuff I got into post-elementary age (which was basically limited to Spidey, Bats, and JLA). Defenders basically opened up the extended 616-verse for me back in middle/high school. I loved how uber yet dysfunctional the original 4 were, and then it was clinched when Val was created cuz she had certain elements of each of the other 4 and ended up being the lynchpin.

When I created the thread Herc was actually getting "wanked" pretty hard here, as they say, and I thought Val was cooler and better and wanted to see what ppl thought
