Before the moderators think of closing this again, the anime Witchblade is an entirely different character from the comics. The wearer of the Witchblade is a woman named Masane and the Witchblade is different from its comic book counterpart.

You said the anime was canon to the comics. If its two different users then its not canon.

Moving away from the pointless argument, Witchblade takes this. She has fought tanks, has been hit with missiles and tank shells and still came out unscratched. Not to mention the Witchblade's power splitted a continent in two.

And her durability feats are not exactly impressive considering Gouki destroyed an island with a punch.

But Akuma should win. Punching island > Releasing energy that triggers an earthquake. Though I only got halfway through the series. Unless she gets seriously more powerful near the end Akuma takes it.

That does not sound like a feat that can be used in combat.

Witchblade has hyper mode. Hyper mode is more powerful than the previous form (the form with the red hair and balck armor). In Hyper mode, her appearence changes and she can run faster and cause more damage. Even if she didn't have hyper mode, she would still beat Akuma. She was shot with tank shells, missiles, got stabbed, and electrocuted and all that was nothing to her.

Right, because if she can tank those, she can DEFINATELY tank a punch which shattered an island to pieces, right?

It is possible that she can survive Akuma's punch. Witchblade can also dodge Akuma's punch. She's friggin fast dude. Fast enough to dodge bullets (which she did).

Dodging bullets? Slower characters than Gouki in SF do that effortlessly.

Then Witchblade doesn't have to get close to Akuma then. She can grow sharp tendrils. She uses them to latch onto a target at a far distance and she can launch herself to that target. When she makes an impact, it'll cause massive damage. Witchblade did it to a tank and that tank was shredded like a piece of paper.

And her body still has to come close. Gouki is stronger than those tentacles, once she launches herself to him, he punches her, he wins.

Exactly how fast are Akuma's punches? Witchblade can probably dodge them.

I reckon about as fast as the rest of him. Much faster than bullets.

Witchblade wins, big time.

Akuma doesn't even stand a little bit of a chance. Witchblade would punch right through him. Since she is much much faster than Akuma, he wouldn't know what hit him.
