Revan has been shown to possess a control of the force FAR surpassing Sidious, was described as the heart of the force, was so powerful that his teaching were said to surpass that of the entire academy on Korriban (including guys like Kas'im, who had a mastery of forms surpassing that of Windu) and much, much more. Um as much of a fan I am of Revan (who in fact is my favorite Sith), Sidious would pwn him. With or without the aid of the Star Forge, Revan wouldn't win. He'd give a good account of himself, but he definitely would lose. True he began the doctrine of "One Master, One Apprentice. One to embody the power, the other to crave it," but Bane solidified it and Sidious perfected it. Revan never took over the galaxy, but Sidious did. But the two Sith Lords do have something in common: they never fully destroyed the Jedi Order.

^Ok, you dont need to go into the Rule of Two Doctrine because it has NOTHING to do with personal power. Neither does taking over the galaxy. So while we all know your right, your reasons are wrong.
