Gasper Noe's new film premiered at Cannes yesterday, and it seems to be as divisive as his prior film - the monumentally disturbing Irreversible.

This new film sounds like one of the most original and unique stylistic film I've ever heard of. It follows a young man who is killed. We then see the world through the eyes of his spirit as he watches the goings on in his city and the actions and consequences that his loved once must now endure with his absence.

Reviews are mixed so far - as they should be for any challenging and odd film. But this is one I've been waiting for for a long long time, I can't wait to see it.

Also apparently the film isn't finished yet. The cut shows was rough and lacking polish.

a friend of mine told me about this.. this sounds very interesting as I may see it when it comes out here to Los Angeles

I nearly left this film alone when I first heard about it when he started comparing it to his section of Destricted, his section was one of the most annoying and rubbish sections of that whole bore of a film. But then he carried on and said it's the total opposite of that section he did and really bright compared to it.

Sounds like porn.

So looks like we will not see this film before September, be anytime after September.

Just a heads up to those who care, IFC picked this up for distribution recently, so should be coming eventually.

The awesome opening credits for this movie. Totally badass.

I agree with the above - the opening credits are amazing. What a great way to start a film.

I thought the film as a whole was excellent too - the best film I have seen in recent years. Certainly the most visually striking film I have ever watched. I say that without hesitation. Gaspar Noe is an artist through and through. And a ballsy one at that. At the very least, you have to respect him for an attempt at greatness. And further, you have to give him credit (in my eyes) for the groundbreaking cinematography achieved in the film. I was enthralled by the entire film.

I would advise everyone to see Enter The Void.

Here's a clip from the film I came across. Gives you a little taste of what I'm talking about (with the visuals)

Looks good enough to give it a go.

Finally saw this today.

Was pretty crazy. Really ambitious and unique, not like anything I've seen before. It has a running time of about 2 1/2 hours so I was initially worried that it would drag because from what i heard it didn't sound like it could sustain such a running time, but it did fairly well. Still, it was a bit drawn out and could have been cut down by at least 30-45 minutes. But still, the raw ambition of this film is enough to warrant a viewing, it's pretty fascinating a concept.

Also the chick in it has a stupid body, and she's naked pretty much the entire movie.
