The Green Goblin vs. Wolverine

Green Goblin flies around the United States, hoping for a possible prey. In the process, he spots Wolverine fighting with Sabretooth. The Goblin suddenly approaches in his jet-flier, and shoots a missile, instantly destroying Sabretooth in the process, but Wolverine survives, merely knocked.

Wolverine quickly regains consciousness.

Now who will win?

Goblin has his missiles and bombs, as well as the pointed spears in his flier. He also has ghost bombs, pumpkin grenades, Goblin Glider, etc.

Wolverine has an adamantium skeleton, and all the feats he has in this link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wolverine_(comics)

NOTE: Green Goblin here is NOT the Iron Patriot version.

I have a problem with that scenario. The part with a missile instantly destroying Sabertooth. That can never happen.

As for the fight, if Goblin is smart enough to stay out of Wolverine's reach and attack him with all his firepower from above he'd win the majority.
If he's dumb enough to get too close he's gonna get his head cut off.

If Goblin stays on his glider and bombards Wolverine, there's really no chance for Wolverine to win.

Naah, wolverine was killing the xmen and wolverine was seeing the xmen as villians (someone was playing with his senses). So the people that he was stabbing was really the xmen, not villians.

He was just calling the X-Men, Mysterio fooled him and Logan thought the mansion was under attack.

That's not canon, it's from an alternate future (hence the smilie). And that wasn't Green Goblin, either. It was one of the X-Men, we don't know which one.

Wolverine wins even without using them.

It's kind of a coin toss with a double sided coin. Wolverine wins no questions asked. In short the goblin has nothing that can knock Wolverine down and keep him there. Wolverine on the otherhand only needs 1 shot in close and is an expert in the use of firearms so even then getting close is not a must he would obviously appropriate a firearm if the goblin kept on the glider. Also Wolverine is not stupid by any means. Cable once analyzed his mind and body in the Danger room aka training room for x-men and compared it to performing an olympic routine while beating 4 supercomputers in chess simultaneosly. It is believed he can lift close to 2 tons and at a minimum 800 lbs. The goblin just doesnt have the tools needed to beat him and Wolverine can outperform him in every imaginable way save available tech.

Aside from Osborn succumbing to the Goblin Madness and deciding to, like a lunatic, engage Wolverine on elevation to which Logan can attack him from, how the hell does Wolvie beat Osborn?

Healing factor or no, Goblin has enough weaponry and firepower to constitute a KO victory.
