Anuyla is queen of an elven city in the icy northern lands. The city named Anuyl and its inhabitants the Anuylen elves thrive off the magic of the Anuylen Emerald. The emerald is extremely powerful and is hidden. Only Queen Anuyla knows where. Anuyla and Esgal have reigned in harmony for many centuries. In all these long years, the queen has never bore an heir for Esgal. Growing listless, he decides to investigate. One night at a royal ball held in honor of peace among all the elves, Esgal noticed his queen had disappeared. Out of curiosity, he went in search only to find her in one of the guests rooms with a Noldor. Enraged, he had the Noldor messenger imprisoned for treason. Anuyla knew her husband's horrible temper. Instead of infuriating him any further, she gave into his urgse and every whim. After a few months, she believed all was well.

Not all is well. During a huge banquet held in honor of the Anuylen Army, Esgal completely took over the Anuylen city massacring those who resisted and enslaving the rest using his strong magic. The only ones even remotely unaffected by it are those who have seen the emerald either knowingly or unknowingly. Esgal also used his magic to keep the outside world from knowing what happen.

Present day. Esgal is holding a huge festival lasting several days. Several leaders of realms and leaders of armies are invited. They are requested to meet in the frozen forest on the west entrance of the kingdom and wait for the greeting party.

I am in the middle of Esgal's history. His bio will probably take up three posts, but it is a necessity to read it so you halfway understand.

Race: Anuylen Elf

Choice of Weapon: His magic most of the time. Anything being manipulated by it would have a blue hue. He is extremely lethal with many weapons. His least favorite weapon would be the staff or bow

Height: 6’5”

Weight: approximately 180 lbs, but Elves seem weightless

Overall Appearance: He has long straight black hair that comes to the middle of his back typical of all full Anuylens. With pale skin and tall stature, the only tell tale sign is his gray eyes. It is said that all Anuylen are born with green eyes because they are “born of the emerald”. Esgal wears black robes lined with silver along the hem, necklines, and cuffs. Black and silver are the traditional colors of the Anuylen kingdom since Anuyla’s estrangement. Any blue clothing is forbidden.

Biography: Hmm, where to start. Not much is known about Esgal’s history. Esgal is the second born to Miannor and was pushed to be a scholar for most of his life. One evening, he visited his brother at the wardens’ post only to find a few picking on Kaiden, his older brother. Angry, Esgal challenged both to a dual . . . not to the death, but just until first blood or knock out. With surprising strategy and unmatched strength, Esgal won. This caught the attention of the Marchwarden. Soon, Esgal was employed as a warden instead of a book keeper for the Silvan king. With the brother’s switching places, Miannor began training Esgal even more proud at how fast his son was learning.

About fifty years after the transition, Miannor received a letter from his dear friends and former King and Queen inviting him to a banquet. Taking the opportunity, he replied saying not only would he attend but he would also bring his two sons. SO it began. The trio traveled to Anuyl where Miannor was born and raised. They were greeted by King Nuylwe and Queen Detinuwen. At the banquet, both Esgal and Kaiden were introduced to all of their father’s old friends, but it seemed Young Esgal was distracted by the princess Anuyla. Laughing, Kaiden secretly set it up for the two to get to know each other. After a while, Anuyla and Esgal were betrothed and married. They lived happily even after taking over when Nuylwe passed to Mandos.

Distraught, Esgal went to a seer . . . an oracle, if you will. The oracle spoke of a long lived reign ending in turmoil and betrayal. When Esgal asked for details, the seer simply stated, “Sapphires and ravens will be your end. The one who you will bond with so perfectly, that will be your end.”

Esgal asked for a definite sign. The oracle waved his hands in the air over his crystal ball. “Tomorrow, at the ceremony you will lock the queen away where none will find her. Before then, Mahtan, the famous blacksmith will have a sword delivered to you. The one that brings it will wear the traditional garb of your race, but when you peer into her eyes, you will see yourself.”

Angry and confused, Esgal left the Oracle and returned to his kingdom. The next day he watched as a fairly excited Anuyla took over the banquet preparations. In a way he would miss her. Shaking these thoughts, he decided to take a walk around the palace to ease his mind. Many times he had to remind himself not to think of Anuyla. She had committed adultery which was against all elfin principles. He stopped to look at a painting, the only one in the whole palace that was his. Without looking he continued walking, until he noticed a very lost-looking elfling. He chuckled when he noticed she had not seen him.

“and what is it that you have lost, herince?” he asked.

The little elfin girl turned and blushed. She immediately fell to one knee and lowered her head putting her hand over her heart. “Mi’lord, um . . . I was actually looking for you.”

Esgal’s eyes widened as he remembered the Oracle’s prophecy. He took a deep breath before approaching the dark-haired elfling. “And what would you have from me?”

Tela’s head shot up as she looked at her king. “Nothing but the opportunity to present you with the sword you ordered from my father.”

Esgal was trembling slightly. She was just a younger version of him right down to the sapphire blue eyes. “You must be Mahtan’s daughter.” He said taking the sword she now offered from its sheath. It glinted in the light and he knew it was perfect.

“Yes, Mi’lord, my name is . . . “

“Tela.” He interrupted. He knew he had to keep an eye on her. Kneeling before her, he put the sword down and reached around his neck unclasping the amulet necklace he wore. “You have given me a most precious gift, allow me to return the favor.”

Tela blinked as she let Esgal place the necklace with the maical sapphire amulet around her neck. “Hantale!”

Esgal was surprised by her knowledge of the Quenya language. “You are most welcome. Why do you not find your mother and join her for the banquet.”

He had to get away and think. SO he left Tela to her own devices then went to find Anuyla. At lunch, the banquet ceremony was held. All of Anuyl’s socialite sat at long tables in the palace’s reception hall and ate. Tela sat with her father and brother. She did not think about the King and queen being there, she was busy listening to the Marchwarden’s war stories.

Half-way through, Esgal signaled to the guards ordering them to arrest Anuyla for high treason and to lock her away. The rest were to kill and/or arrest anyone who resisted. Before the words were ever out of his mouth clearly, there was a loud uproar as many of the civilian’s tried to defend their queen. They were shot down instantly. Two being the black smith, Mahtan, and his wife.

When Esgal saw the grieving twins huddled by their parents’ dead bodies, he told the guards to take the boy, Turi, to be trained as a warden while Tela would become a lady of the court. And the rest is history.

Information on the Lancer Race:

It all started with humans. They were in a disadvantage in almost every way compared to the elves. Wit, strength, agility, determination, life span. There was no competition, the elves were simply better. Fortunately, however, usually the elves were benevolent and kind. There was no reason to be afraid of them, unless you were asking for trouble yourself. Yet still, every few centuries or generation or so, one kingdom or another would inherit a king who deemed to enslave or destroy humans and take their kingdoms. This didn't happen often, but never the less it did. During a reign of one especially wrathful Elven king, a whole human Kingdom consisting of several cities was captured. The cities were burnt, and the humans sent to special areas or camps which were completely under control of Elves. The humans were looking for freedom, revenge, and retribution. One particular year, the Elven queen was supposed to stop her escort by the camp in order to rest for the night. Taking this opportunity, the humans rallied and held a huge revolt, in which they took the queen and killed her. The revolt was put down as Elven reinforcements arrived. At the news of the dead queen, the Elven king was in completely fury and in a frenzy. He gave a harsh order, to cut off the right arm of every human in the camps. More then 6,000 humans had their right arms cut off. Time passed, and soon, when the humans began to reproduce and carry off spring, something of a wonder happened. Even the off spring of the humans were born without a right arm. Time passed, and soon a new Elven king inherited the throne. This king felt pity for the humans, and knew that the Elves were responsible for what happened to them. He gave them freedom, let them go out of the camps, and gave them huge amounts of lands to start up their own cities. Knowing that they won't be able to efficiently make their cities with just one hand, he sent a huge working force of Elves to help them.

As the Elves began building the cities, the humans were forced to spend all their time on thinking of a way to fix the way they were. Potions, experiments, spells, almost everything was tried. However, there was seemingly no way possible to fix their genetic mutation. Distraught, they began to develop a technology for making mechanic arms to replace theirs. They began learning about the nerves in their arms, and ended with learning the material such as metal ore's that would be acquired to smith such mechanical arms. It started out with simple hands that were made out of wood, in which the fingers our wrists wouldn't respond, just the elbows. This evolved, and has become what is now. The arms are now made out of the strongest material known to elves or man, large amounts of silver mixed with an unknown ore found in the mountains. The hand responds almost completely like a normal hand, with the fingers, the wrist, the elbow, and the shoulder being able to move with ease and almost no delay. The strength of the mechanical right arm is almost ten times the strength of the left arm. These humans, with the mechanical right arm, began to grow rapidly. Equipping their military with huge, heavy, sharp spears and lances almost seven feet long that wouldn't be liftable by a normal arm but was with the mechanical, they named their race the 'Lancers.' Now, at least in parallel in might with the Elves, the Lancers began taking more and more territory and grew to be one of the first non-elven great powers in the lands. The mechanical arms are usually hidden by clothes by the Lancers, as well as gloves are worn.

Ether's Biography: Ether was born, like all Lancers, without a right arm. At their very adolescence and teens, they are equipped with smaller mechanical arms. As they grow, they replace those mechanical arms with bigger ones to match their body, height, width, and length of left arm. He was born into a royal family of nobles, and educated in the best manner, as he was expected to in the future take a place of an adviser or lord. He was soon distinguished to be special, as his wits, cleverness, and physical prowess was shown. Many times did he solve a problem or a question that the Elders or the higher lords were pondering about, such as how to stop the drought, or their next military actions. He was also a marvel to watch during his sparring, where he beat almost every opponent he faced. Soon, the King of the Lancer Empire was assassinated. The son of the King took up the throne, as accustomed, but was soon dethroned and exiled from the Lancer Empire as evidence of him assassinating his father came up. This, however, created a stir in the Lancer Empire. Who should be the king? Lords argued and debated over this, and soon a civil war began. Different lords raised up their armies to take up the throne. One of those lords being Ether's father, he was poisoned by a backstabbing noble who wanted to shorten the competition for the throne. Taking this chance and opportunity, at the age of 16, Ether took up his father's army. In a matter of a year, through decisive strategical moves and decisions, Ether destroyed all competition and took up the throne. Ever since then, he has been a king ever since then, ruling with might, power, but at same time wisdom and kindness.
