well can peter take on the powers of the x-men like he could the others in the show?

Current Peter can only mimic only ability at a time. Not that he could touch people that dodge bullets like nothing. His previous style he was very reliant on his HF helping him win. If you take off his head its over, or separate the base of the from the spinal column.

Don't know if you read the initial post at all, but I clearly state that it is the future version of Peter.

Yeah in close proximity, but he would need time to master these powers, so there's no point in him using his empathic mimicry here.

Team, Pete still doesnt have the EXP to deal with them.

Everyone else keeps him busy, then Kurt ports Colossus/Wolverine behind Pete, fight over.
