You and I are one of the few, Scribe.

Savage Dragon is, without a doubt, one of my all time favorites. Erik larsen is just so underrated that it makes me want to scream.

I even have the SD statue:

The pictures on my wall are actual paintings done by an inmate when I was a correctional officer for the Texas Dept. of Criminal Justice. This inmate, or so I was told by him, had absolutely no art skills whatsoever when he was first incarcerated. Then over the span of a decade, he became quite a fine artist. He only charged me $30 per picture to make them in the unit's craft shop.

I stopped buying comics around 2002, because I was in the U.S. Army at the time and since we were deployed to Kuwait and Iraq after the events of September 11th, I just didnt have the time to buy anymore.

I have all of the issues of Dragon up to, about, number 104. I even have the original Savage Dragon 1/2 from Wizard magazine, and Megaton #1, the very first appearance of Savage Dragon and Vanguard.

Speaking of Vanguard, I have all of the Larsen spin-offs such as Freak Force, Superpatriot (including Superpatriot's appearances in Rob Liefeld's Youngblood: Strikefile), Deadly Duo, Vanguard, Desperate Times, and the numerous Dragon story arcs like Blood & Guts and Red Horizon.

I just wish that the cheese-tastic Savage Dragon animated series would hurry up and come to DVD.

I can't say I've read more than 15 issues of Savage Dragon but I've enjoyed most of what I've read. Last issue I read his son was kidnapped and one of the thugs he'd smashed had accidentally become a carnivorous monster which proceeded to eat SD himself while he was recovering in a hospital, and got assimilated by Savage Dragon after.

Good books but they're not owned by DC or Marvel so not too many comic fans will read them.

The thing I love most about the SD comics are the last page cliffhangers that Larsen uses. It keeps the reader just ITCHING for next month's issue.

The best time was when he was a cop, so much fun.

The Nuul
SD vs Backlash.....good times.

As soon as I get out of the financial funk that I am currently in, I plan to try to get back into comic collecting, even if it is just Savage Dragon.

Impediment
Wow. I just went to my local comic shop and researched all of the issues I want to buy. The total is over $100! I need to star saving!

The Nuul
I find a lot of the Image stuff are in the dollar/50 cent bins.
