I'm excited, although unsure about Moony's use of guns.

What's going on with Marvel, stopping series just to start them again a month later with a different title? She-Hulk, now Moon Knight.
They don't know what they're doing with Marc Spector, and they can't keep a writer around on him, it seems. Time to bring back Doug Moench - MK is his character, and he doesn't like it when others write him anyway.

So is this Frank Castle's brand new identity or something... I read Moon Knight, but this I am not sure yet

i just finished reading through issue thirty of the current series, and the stories have all been pretty solid. i've never really been a big fan of the "lone hero prowling the city streets" genre, and i only had moderate knowledge of moon knight prior, but i've enjoyed the series quite a bit. my only gripe is that benson doesn't seem to like writing the profile as much as huston did, and i loved reading that guy's parts.

anyway, the art's been kinda mediocre throughout a large part of the series, so hopefully the new book'll have some smashing good looks.

Gamerr-X
So does it come out in July or September? I think its Sept but I just wanna make sure.

roughrider
I'd get MK out of New York - it's too crowded there with heroes, and he needs to get away from the perception of being Marvel's Batman.
Put him down in the South, covering territory from New Orleans to Miami, dealing with Gothic-type crime stories & such.

yeah I know, the art has been mediiocre during his current series so looking at the teaser image that seems to have changed..

Gamerr-X
So does it come out in September? Can anyone tell me?

Kero_Co
I blieve it's September, with the Moon Knight Saga book in August.

As for the guns, I figure since he use to be a mercenary, guns make him feel secure, seeing how he's rejecting his god, who won't back him anymore(If he ever). Then again, that's Marc Spector, this is Jake Lockely. From a psychological viewpoint, maybe Lockely just likes guns. But Hell, for all I know they could be pistol inspired Flame Throwers.

Anyway, for those who haven't seen it, Newsarama's interview:

He's in Mexico currently and been there for some time, but might be heading back to the States shortly.

unless issue 31 came out and i missed it, it damn sure looks like he's got his sights set on heading back to the good ol' U.S. to take down the new hierarchy in the defense community.

-K-M-
Yeah he saw Norman was in charge and was thinking about heading back to the States.

sad sad sad sad how many times will Robert job ?

Kero_Co
My guess is they won't even fight in this issue, although I do find the dynamic entertaining. They're both kind of going through the same thing. Of course, I have trouble believing Khonshu isn't real. When I look at that picture I see a god versus a man who's thrown his away, and that's interesting. If they do fight, I imagine it would be something like the Bullseye fight, with Moon Knight fleeing into the darkness. However, I'd prefer it if this sets Jake up to take over Green Goblin's relationship with Sentry, beginning a twisted version of the Cap/Thor relationship.

Deathlok
I ordered this series from my LCS as part of my monthly previews order. I got the regular & variant ROSS cover!

one variant cover that I will buy.. I also look forward to seeing good artwork, stories and better weaponry as well

BruceSkywalker
also i hope now that Moon Knight has the Batman type armor, i hope good feats are shown and i hope this series lasts a very long time

Kero_Co
I completely agree. Since he and khonshu started fighting it out, Moon Knight hasn't had many definite wins under his belt. It will be great to see him get some good feats. You wanna be on Broadway, you got to know how to act.

It's not a joke. He doesn't have powers anymore though.

The city is going to have to spend more money fixing the structural damage that Moonknight caused to the street and buildings when he arrived on the scene and made his exit, than those robbers would have made off with. laughing

Hmm. Reminds me of the BATMAN: THE CULT miniseries way back when, by Jim Starlin & Berni Wrightson.

Preview for Issue 4:

This issue made me realize that Marc/Jake and Frenchie have essentially traded places.

I think they're setting Frenchie up to be a supervillain.

that would a change

Kero_Co
First arc ends with issue 6 in March. I really dig the cover . It seems to say, "This is what a badass religious avatar looks like."

I think khonshu would approve.

I'm really interested what's going to happen once Bushman is out of the way. Whether they'll make new Moon Knight villains or polish off older ones. Sometime after all this mayhem, Moon Knight is going to have to confront Profile as well.

Moon Knight vs Deadpool

Most likely there to boost sales, but it should be interesting. Khonshu will probably have a hard-on for Deadpool.

I don't mind Tan's art, but it just feels strange here. Deadpool himself looks particularly chunky, like salsa.

So we have two moon knight related articles, one one Comic Book Resources:
http://comicbookresources.com/?page=article&id=25192

and an interview with IGN:
http://comics.ign.com/articles/107/1076834p1.html

Looks like there's plans involving moon knight for a good long time, sounds like he'll be in the Shadowland event, and if he really is a member of the Secret Avengers the Heroic Age might just be the Age of the Moon Knight(not to be confused with the murderous silent hill inspired Age of Khonshu).
