Apocalypse sends the Living Monolith to collect the Hulk so he can use him as a host body. Monolith is in stage 2 of his transformation (50 feet tall, pre-living planet stage). He confronts Hulk who is meeting with members of his Warbound (No Name, Hiroim, Korg, Elloe) at the Grand Canyon. Monolith is teleported to their location and demands that the Hulk surrender or his comrades will be killed.
