Bio: Bane was born to serve the life sentence of his father, his childhood and early adult life are spent in Peña Duro, a prison located in Santa Prisca. Though imprisoned, his natural abilities allow him to develop extraordinary skills within the prison's walls. He reads as many books as he can get his hands on, builds up his body in the prison's gym, and learns to fight in the merciless school of prison life. Despite his circumstances, he appears to have found teachers of various sorts during his incarceration, ranging from hardened convicts to an elderly Jesuit priest, under whose tutelage he apparently receives a classical education. Bane murders this priest upon his return to Santa Prisca years later. However, he commits his first murder at the age of eight, stabbing a criminal who wanted to use him to gain information about the prison. During his early years in prison, Bane carries a teddy bear he calls Osito (Spanish for "little bear", whom he considers his only friend. It is revealed that Osito has a hole in his back to hold a knife that Bane uses against anyone who bullies him.

Bane ultimately establishes himself as the "king" of Peña Duro prison. The prison's controllers take note and, eventually, force him to become a test subject for a mysterious drug known as Venom, which had killed all other subjects. It nearly kills him at first, but he survives and finds its effects enhance his physical strength, although he needs to take it every 12 hours (via a system of tubes pumped directly into his brain) or he would suffer debilitating side-effects.

In Secret Six Faces of Evil Deadshot, Bane is being tortured by having bricks repeatedly thrown at him while being chained up. Bane manages to break free enough to bite one of his enemies in the neck, killing him. Bane is willing to die than to give up any information on his team.

Bane immediately realizes that Robin is spying on him, so he leads Robin to the subway where Robin is unable to communicate with Batman. Bane moves faster than Robin can see. Bane quickly subdues Robin and brings him to the sewers tied up and blindfolded.

Batman vs Bane first fight. Bane reveals to Batman how he set-up all of the Arkham prisoners to escape so that Batman would be worn down psychologically and physically. Bane purposefully gets six month in solitary confinement by stabbing another inmate in the eye with a knife in a teddy bear. He detox off Venom, work-out, and meditate. It's a great character moment and the moment he comes out is rather impressive as he comes back better than ever. That, and his escape from Blackgate Prison. There's a very nice feat in there with his swimming "the rip", a 30 knot current that took all other swimmers to their watery grave. -Credit to TricksterPriest

Thank you very much. To point out one last thing, Bane had previously been badly beaten and ended up in the prison hospital courtesy of KG Beast. The fight on the preceding page with Beast was after the detox and solitary confinement. As a result of that fight, Beast aided Bane in his escape.

Bane breaks into prison to break his partner Birdy out. He punches through a wall and kills two guards. Speed feat -One guard he kills by throwing a pick axe with great accuracy before the guard can fire. Later he one-shots an armed drug dealer before he can shoot. Takes over the dealer's gang by threatening to break anyone who refuses.

Bane injects Azrael with a more powerful version of Venom to make Azrael his slave. During this fight they survive a boat crash, and have to climb a high cliff during a hurricane with winds over 125 mph. Bane is the first one to the top and re-captures Jean Paul.

Thanks. Yeah image venue has those annoying ads, and I didn't know about that before. But once you click on the thumbnail the image is automatically resized so you don't have to scroll left to right so much. I probably will use imageshack more however because its more user friendly.

One of the final arcs of JSA Classified with Hourman and Bane, is fairly essential.

In JSA Classified #17-18, Bane lied to Hourman 1 and 2 stating that in his furious carelessness to wipe out the drug trade in his homeland, he was captured, and hooked to new highly addictive Venom, which resulted in death from the withdrawal. Bane, who had never truly been addicted to Venom, had in fact wiped out the drug lords, and destroyed every research note on Venom. He discovered in the process both strains of Venom derived from Rex Tyler's early research on Miraclo. He discovers from the Tylers that no written notes exist of Rex's work, captures Rex, and steals Rick's equipment, planning to kill Rex and force Rick to take the last of the new Venom, living forever as an addict. In the end Bane kidnaps Hourman 1, sets a trap and stalemate both Hourman 1 and 2 simultaneously, and survives a collapsing former prison.

Daman I was gonna do a Bane thread, beat me to it.

During Salvation Run where many villains are taken to a deadly prison planet, Lex Luthor hires Bane to be one of his bodyguards. Bane easily defeats brothers Thunder and Lighting, while takes a blast of lighting at point blank range with little effect.

Just small bits. Gotham Underground 1, 3, 5 & 6. Bane was manipulating the Suicide Squad while working with them to get rid of all the super criminals in Gotham, so he would be the only one left. But then the Suicide Squad by Amanda Waller's order turned on Bane, and Deadshot sending them to the prison planet in Salvation Run.
