Re: Marvel/Dc ultimate chess tournament
Thanos vs Darkseid - This ends in a stalemate. Both are extremely intelligent, both extremely manipulative, both can be charming when they want to be. Makes for a good chess player. 😛
Reed Richards vs Lex Luthor - Lex takes this. Reed is smarter, but come on, Lex is the quintessential manipulator. And good business practices were born on chess principles.
Tony Stark vs Brainiac - Brainiac. No contest.
Grandmaster vs Metron - Metron, no contest. Just flat out more intelligent. The most intelligent New God. And he enjoys playing games and messing with people, too.
Batman vs T'Challa - Batman. Again, a virtual no contest. Bats has got everything T'Challa has and then some.
Doom vs Majestic - Majestic takes this. Dude was outsmarting a Kheran supercomputer capable of processing trillions of pieces of info per second for over three straight weeks, while dying of chronal poisoning. No way Doom out thinks him in a chess match, where seeing multiple steps ahead makes a lot of difference.

You know it's true. Bruce would probably be yelling at him for trying to make illegal moves.
"It is impossible for you to move your king on your first turn! You literally have to move a pawn or bishop!"
"Silence white devil! The king of Wakanda will figure out a way around this!"
