Check out the two new posters here, there is the normal poster(the trap image), and a viral poster. The design on the trap poster is fantastic.

You can also see a clip here from the film featuring the trap on that poster:

I likeeeeeeeeeeeee the carousel trap. And as they said about the last ones, this is the most violent Saw film yet.

Even though the Saw films are nothing amazing and absurd, I do look forwards to the next one and what preposterous twists they come up next. Saw 7 is official according to the writers.

smile

BackFire
The poster is kinda neat.

Too bad the movies have all been absolute shit. This one won't be any different.

Saw 7 is on the way, in ideas/script stage according to the makers. I did say Steve. stick out tongue

I knew that I was making sure you were paying attention to what you wrote and you did...well done, good job man...woman...you're very pretty big grin

A 7th is now official:

Nemesis X
Man they must've milked SAW so badly that instead of milk, the dry utters are spewing out dust. When will it end?

Kazenji
and hows it any different to Friday the 13th ?

Selphie
I'll probably see it, just so I can say I've seen all of them

But the whole Saw series seems to just be a huge rip off of Se7en! That's what bugs the shit out of me most with these movies.

Saw will most likely end when one of films is a flop...

all these movies always pay for themselves opening week, they make decent money overseas and do well on dvd/blu-ray.. i will not be at all surprised if there is a Saw 10-15

MildPossession
Do explain how the Saw films are a HUGE rip off of Seven?

The victims have basically committed sins, and are people who aren't perfect, or didn't make the right decisions in life, etc. They get killed/tortured in gruesome ways, that reflect the horrible actions they've made in the past.

And this might be a coincidence, but when Saw first came out, I heard a confirmed rumor(on kmc, actually), that Tobin Bell had signed a contract to do seven films.

Holy crap, I thought so too!

MildPossession
Seven was sins yes, Saw is people who don't appreciate life in some form and hurt other people, not based on the seven deadly sins.

For the majority, when Jigsaw was around, they had a choice and could get away from death if they followed the rules/made right choice. The killer in Seven didn't give people a choice, only one I can remember getting a choice was the model and her nose. Plus the killer in Seven killed innocent people and caused pain for innocents too.

It's far from a HUGE rip off of Seven, influenced yes, but not a rip off.

Well also the way its filmed, and the dark lighting, etc etc etc

my opinion against yours, but I think its more than an influence

MildPossession
Films have been using dark lighting/dark art direction before Seven too.

When no one goes to the movies to see the new SAW movie and it tanks at the box office.

You leave Friday the 13th out of this!

BackFire
I've said before and I'll say again, Jigsaw is the poor man's John Doe.

deathbycorn
I agree that Saw is a rip-off of Seven and also Cube.

Its Seven meets Cube.

And MP, in Saw its people who do bad things which is what Sins are.

MildPossession
Yes but I wasn't saying that. In the Saw films Jigsaw wasn't going by the seven deadly sins, unlike the killer in Seven who was and killing them in ways that relate to the seven deadly sins.

Wolfie
Saw also takes a totally different direction than Se7en. Se7en was a crime thriller. Saw is a straight-out horror movie. Saw and Se7en have similarities, yes. But calling Saw a ripoff of Se7en is like calling Family Guy a ripoff of The Simpsons.

That said, I'm looking forward to Saw VI.

Those that say this series has been milked, killed, whatever you wanna call it, needs to remember how many Nightmare on Elm Street, Friday the 13th, Halloween, and Hellraiser movies there are. The Saw series has just now exceded the number of Child's Play movies and tying with the Leprechaun series.

And outside of the horror genre, nobody says that James Bond has been beaten to death, and there are more than 20 of those movies and counting.

no not really I thought they should have quit after the first one IMO the thing what made the movie so good was the suprising end, the feact that something you once look at it and then totally ignore and then BAM! he stands up und was the real man behind all of this, in the ther movies it was more like waiting for the turning point, ok the traps/kills were better but that's not what made Saw so good for me (Jigsaw on the ground)

well on a few I agree and on others I don't, ANoE,Ft13 evolved in a way like Freddys becoming more like a cruel clown and Jason turned into a Zombie/Demon, while Halloween has always been the same what I really dislike and Hellraiser IMO became absolute Bullsh!t after part 4 same goes for Childs Play after part 3 und Leprechaun after 3.
Well Saw tries to stay in it's concept while bringing up dozens of flashbacks and storys from the past or surprisingly appaering characters that suddenly told that were always around, I would have buyed it for 1 or 2 sequels but 5!?!? and if the rumor is true (what I hope it's not, but afraid of it is) I think it's going into ridiculous dimensons.

100% agreed

MildPossession
That's what I adore about the first Saw, the twist at the end, even though I already knew about it when going to see it, still thought it was fantastic.

Explain in spoilers please.

with rumor I meant the rumor of a 7th part, I only knew about 6

and yeah the first one was totally awesome and then (in the sequels) I was just waiting and expected the unexpected, not really exciting

MildPossession
A 7th is official according to the script writers.

MildPossession
Oh and also one of the next Saw films is going to be in 3D... and they think it might be the 7th one.

DarthLazious
So how many Saw movies are they gonna make in total?

MildPossession
See a few posts above, so far it's official up to a Saw 7. Don't know officially how many they are actually going to go up to.

Discos

Discos
^^ of course.

am just still pissed off, they said they would finish after 6. Damn it! I love the movies but I dont want it to drag on.

Jigsaw has been dead for like 17 of the movies.

MildPossession
Don't carry on watching them, quite simple. stick out tongue

Discos
noooo... haha I have to.

well to be fair, I have only watched 4 & 5 the once. Saw 5 DVD is still sitting on the "to be watched" section on my shelf.

coolmovies

coolmovies

occultdestroyer
edit

MildPossession
CoolMovies - Me and others have already gone on about a Saw 7 if you cared to read parts of this topic...

Discos
yeah get with the times dude, hehe.

so for the longterm foreseeable future, every halloween we are going to see a new Saw movie.

MildPossession
Indeed we are. smile If it gives us a decent Horror film to view around the spooky time of year...

Halloween II coming out in the Summer, bla.

Discos
doesnt seem to be any horror films nowadays that can have a great Halloween october 31st impacts.

How much more traps can the writers of SAW come up with? Some of them are just insane but some of them are simple or predictable as the next.

MildPossession
Especially here in Britain... and on television, there are never any Horror films on, it's always the obvious like Halloween..., can't be inventive!! or repeats.

Going by images from the new one, plenty of invention, some of them do indeed look insane.

coolmovies
sorry

Discos
yeah october 31st in britain is poor. Its always Halloween part 2. or Friday the 13th part 4,5, or 6 is on the sci fi channel.

some of the contraptions look bad ass.

MildPossession
^ Think of us poor terrestrial/freeview channels only people. Moi doesn't have the sci-fi channel. At least I have my Nightmare Before Christmas, watch this every Halloween.

hong
i wanna watch saw!! but always never dare to watch it alone =X Watched Saw 5 like for 15mins den off it.. omg x.x
i want to watch all saw...any1 want watch with me? lol.

MildPossession
Get some friends round to support you through the film. smile

Discos
haha awww.... :L

my ex girlfriend loved the saw movies but she couldnt watch the torture scenes. she would hide her head for a while and ask me when it was over, sometimes i would lie to her smile

Kazenji
One sheet poster

MildPossession
Yuck, don't like the look of that trap.

MildPossession
So looks like they are going the 3D route... joy.

Discos
oh no not 3D, dude this 3d revamp is destroying movies.
blah

allofyousuckkk
I liked the first three, but afterwards it just became completely unrealistic (not that it was ever realistic)

Point is, the first three movies, you could see being possible.. whereas the next one are rediculous. The final trap in the 5th one? With the room that closed in on itself? Wtf was that?

MildPossession
I liked the room trap and coffin, not ridiculous at all. Quite simple I would have thought compared to a lot of the other traps.

coolmovies
How many traps are there gonna be in this movie?

Yawn....

BackFire
Just got back from the midnight screening.

I have to say, I think this was the best of all the Saw films. I know that's like saying that this is the best piece of shit I've ever eaten, but it was a lot of fun.

And without spoiling much, the thing I kinda liked most about it was that it went very political in a very hamfisted way, which kinda pushed the camp value up a bit.

By no means a great, or even good, film, but worth watching I think.

allofyousuckkk
I liked it... the movies are unrealistic, just due to the amount of money he would have to spend and that would leave a huge papertrail.

However, hats off to them, I'm impressed that by the 6th movie they are still revealing things that have been set in motion since the beginning of the franchise. With a movie that has so many opportunities for **** ups and plot holes, this really doesn't have that.

And the beginning with Tanedra. GOD DAMN

ladygrim
i didnt find this saw to be overly gross like the previous couple i think this one had more of a plot than 3 & 4, 5 which depend heavily on the gore factor to keep us interested i think this one had a plot playing through the film (IMO)

not my fav of the series but its in the top 3 maybe

Sith Master X
Thought this was a fantastic SAW film! Better than 3, 4 and 5. Not sure where it stands with the first 2. I need to give it a second viewing, but this movie was a breath of fresh air.

I thought this one had the most gore though. Some things were down right nasty.

BruceSkywalker
I liked saw 6...

nice gore and decent plot

ladygrim
lol.. maybe i wasnt watching properly cuz im usually the first to cover me eyes at the first sight of blood lol big grin might watch it again

WickedDynamite
I've always been a strong opponent to this franchise because for me it's more about a marketing ploy than an actual horror film. I have the same feelings with films like the Date Movie and Disaster Movie so Saw isn't the only type of films I discriminate.

Hope you guys have fun with this 6th installment.

Hell Lancer
thought it was good. leagues above all the others imo (except saw). the story took a new turn in ways, the plot was interesting and the traps were great.

getting an acid enema was a great idea of ****ing someone over

as good as gore porn gets.

FistOfThe North
I saw this no pun intended.

It was the most moral and socially conscious of all the movies. It was the most relatable of 'em all.

Who knows, but it looks like it happens exactly that way with life insurance companies. it doesn't matter if you have potential to live or not, what matters is them spending the least amount of money they could no matter what.

And the bank loan people, that whole thing was so smart because it deals with current events and what people are currently going through emotionally in this country with predatory lending.

For the first time in the series, this movie didn't make me feel as sorry for the jigsaws victims.

8/10.

MildPossession
OMG, I have to go on this ride, well maze:

http://www.themeparks-uk.com/thorpe-park-guide/news/thorpe-adds-saw-alive.html

I have family who live only a few miles from this theme park, so off I go next year. smile

lil bitchiness
Terrible. I don't even know where to begin about how terrible this movie was. Just....I don't have words.
