Impediment
This fight takes place in the Roman Coliseum.

Maximus, Juba, Haken, Tigris of Gaul, Cicero, and General Quintus have just finished a Gladiatorial fight against the Barbarian Horde, when, suddenly, several Infectors fly in and begin to infect the dead bodies and begin the recombination sequence that will make Necromorphs.

These are the Necromorphs:

The most effective way to stop them is by dismemberment of their limbs. However, they are not so easily subdued as they are relentless.

The Romans have swords, shields, and armor, but are outnumbered 3 to 1. The Necros have their aggression, numbers, and, of course, their sharp, spear-like extremities and teeth. The Infectors can attack the Romans, but they will also infect anyone who dies as to make more Necros.

XanatosForever
The hacking properties of the gladiators weapons is useful, but the range presents a major problem. I think the Necromorphs take this, both because of their ferocity and the shock factor they'll engender among the gladiators.
