post which scenes from any comic movies where you think they went over board trying to show off.
for example in dark knight where batman was on the bat pod then went up the wall and flipped around i thought that was a little to much. yeah i know one scene wont hurt but nolan wants his films to be realistic.

I feel like Spider-man movies try showing off all the time. I agree with you on that part in TDK, that was the only WTF moment I had in that otherwise masterpiece of a comic book movie.

Audiences love that moment! It's like the perfect punctuation to the trailer flipping over. I sat in my seat and went "YEAH!"

In grand theft auto, twenty percent of the time I do that flip all the time. The rest of the time the motorcycle falls back onto my body.

When I saw it in IMAX for the first time that got the most applause from the crowd out of the whole film. That got people literally standing on there, myself included, feet clapping.
Does Transformers 2 count? If so, that the unecessary sex jokes involving the dogs, Skids/Mudflap, and thong.

i liked the scene myself i think it was a cool stunt. it was still showing off a little to much. nobody is understanding the thread. there can be scenes that you enjoyed and they kicked ass but in the long run it was just a little to much entertainment. i liked the batpod stunt and everything wish i could do that on a bike but for a movie that a director wants to keep the film serious i think it was a little to much.
and yeah i guess you can add transformers scenes if u want.

Take it easy. The message is that no one agrees with you about that scene, so far. No one thinks it was over the top and pulls you out of the movie.

i thought the wall twist was a bit silly BUT, if they didn't show it, and simply showed the bat-pod turned around and heading back, we'd all be asking how it didn't smash in to the wall, i think...

As far as I understand, Bale never drove it. I watched a behind the scenes thing a while back and I believe they said that only 1 guy learned how to drive the thing.
And Chomper, I'm with you on this. It was a cool stunt, but I wish it wasn't there because it seemed too flashy and unnecessary compared to everything else.

I was almost impressed to find someone that had the guts to talk trash about The Dark Knight. But then you backed off by justifying it as a good movie still at the end of your post.
Don't take that as offensive or anything. I'm not making fun of you. I hate The Dark Knight. Everyone I talk to sings its praise, despite that lame Bat Pod scene, Batman's overly annoying voice, how unnecessary it was to include Two-Face, and other flaws in the movie I won't get into that all get ignored and people call it the best superhero movie ever.
I'll agree with you that it got showed off way too much. That scene was entirely too long and showy. It had me falling asleep.

I thought he made it abundantly clear he wasn't trash talking it. I thought it was a little fancy too but not really showing off. The thing didn't seem to have a very good turning radius, as seen when he skids out and the wheels turn sideways to keep him from tipping. Might as well make use of those crazy wheels.
