Been playing this game like crazy lately, it's so addicting. Basically go on hunts and gatherings while slaying monsters for their hides and whatnot to make armor. You get a kitty cat sidekick and you're able to go on hunts with people nearby. Although they literally have to be in the same room as you, it's incredibly fun taking on monsters with your buds.
